I'd rent a newer one, then just sit it on the limiter all the way there and back. Cos thats what everyone does with rental hacks anyway lol.
I found a load more parts here, Spanish site, the assholes wont reply to me though https://www.repuestosclassic.es/products_new.php
That has been a genuine consideration - she rumbled what I was up to straight away haha, she's still game for it though! I also considered flying out, buying a whole R9 and filling it with bits and driving it home haha
Yes. And yes. Vee thread here.

Mk3 Clio 197 Turbo (Meglio) - easy to find parts 1/10.
Clio V6 - hard to find parts 7/10. Took me 18 months to find a fog light surround.
Renault 21 Quadra - very hard to find parts...
Engine has been back and sat in my living room for a couple of weeks, so last weekend I threw some paint at it. Seems in decent condition given the age, and that it was sat for 15 years (with coolant in), particularly the liner seats which are absolutely mint. Really shows how much difference it...
Ooooh tools!
I bought one of these. Very useful.

Apparently the orbisound is super loud so watch out for that one. Keep an eye out for a Jansport, they really got it bang on, though i've only seen two for sale since 2015 so if one does come up, grab it fast!
New rear discs and pads too. Spoiling it this month! Old rear pads had some odd wear, the pad material was attached too high up the pad....strange!
Much better. 300mm vented discs on the back of these things.
And took it for a weekend away :) - yes, I put normie plates back on....for now!
Busted AC pipe fixed. Had to nab a PAD fitting of a povvo spec Mk2 Clio - PAD fittings are not standardised it seems and even the Mk3 Clio is different! The Mk2 pipe was the same fitting but bigger diameter pipe, which fortunately sleeved over the Vee one. Now fitted and seems OK. Of course the...
All I can tell you is that it was engine or gearbox related, as it stopped when I did the Meglio conversion on it. Other than that I can't be any more specific, sorry! It never caused any issues other than being a noise that was there though.
...apart from the V6 :)
Investement to return, if Bitcoin drops near $5k USD again, buy it.
I think the boat has been missed on trophies. We have already seen the value jump. It won't step up a level further for many many years, probably 20+.
I recently discovered in the parts stash a set of brand new pistons (with rings!), liners and gudgeon pins, and some big ends and mains too and I fancied a bit of engine tinkering so I pulled down the 9 engine. I was amazed how good it was considering, the crank is in fab condition.
Humped it...
The F1 team are sytaying for the forseeable future - good news.
Not liking the factory cutbacks or the model reduction though, and not looking good for the RS range is it :(
Mid-to-high 20's if its still low miles and good nick.
Mine is just over 80k but in excellent nick, with some nice OEM+ mods and a fresh coat of paint, i'd put it at £20k, maybe £22k with both sets of wheels and belts done.
The RS Clio is following the same path as the R5GTT. Currently in the cheap-and-plentiful stage, like the five was 2 decades ago.
Give it 20 years and minters will be worth quite a bit because of the attrition rate thinning the ranks. Parts will go up in price when OE stuff runs short.
They...
The last couple of times driving the Vee I have noticed a bit of a crankcase smell hanging around, and then on my last drive a wisp of smoke out the sidepods, so I thought it best to investigate. Took all the trim off over the engine, then the inlet manifold.
Had to take the drivers seat out...
