    I bought a load of mounts from dx.com for peanuts. They took two weeks to arrive but are fine. I'm not sure I'd use a cheap suction mount on a car, but headstraps, chest harness etc can't really go wrong.

    New lens or GoPro?

    The GoPro will allow for no camera controls. The majority of the nice photos that you see have had some major PP done on them. I've not been that impressed with the images of the 3+ at all TBH. If you aren't interested in video, I'd take the lens.

    What are you all using for editing (on the PC)? The GoPro studio software seems to pixelate the video far too much on anything other than the very best settings. The raw footage is all clear and sharp, but as soon as it goes through editing it looks shite.

    Piracy is probably the only reason TBH. I don't bother anymore as all the tweaks I used to use are now standard iOS functions. I'd rather have a secure phone and stable and reliable updates than to skimp on a few £ for some apps.

    I only had it a couple of weeks before it drove me mad with the freezes. I did quite a few vids and didn't notice any focus issues. I'll have a check with the new one this weekend.

    My 3+ quality was okay, but it kept on freezing. I've just got it back after their repair/ replacement (with a bonus free battery from GoPro) so am curious to see how it goes. GoPros seem to be like any other camera TBH, you get good ones and bad ones. They do offer a 30 day money back...

    Laptop Overheating?

    Google how to open it up then clean out the fans inside. Failing that, you might need to take the cooler heatsink off the CPU and reapply some new thermal paste.

    Mine freezes if you leave it for more than a couple of hours, and the only way to turn it on is with a hard reset. (Battery out, hold shutter button, battery in, press power whilst still holding the shutter button). The camera is then put back to factory settings and is alright for another...

    My 3+ is being picked up and going back to GoPro. It refuses to turn on and needs a reset 50% of the time. After having a trawl through various forums, they seem to have quite a few quality control problems. :(
