Not the same car but similar weights, I've got Miester R coilovers on my MR2 (which are very similar to the BC's) with 5kg front and 7kg rear and they are lovely and compliant on the road. Maybe sell what you have now and get a new set of BC's with similar spring rates.

Sachs suspension from the Trophy sounds like it would be your best bet. I ruined my 182 cup for the road fitting AST 4100 with 9kg front/11kg rear springs. Hated the thing until I got it on track. I also has Corbeau Clubsports and the flex in the seat base was shocking.

DS1.11 all the way! Used them on my Clio and Octavia on the road no problem. When they start squealing they just need a good heat cycle. Another option is EBC bluestuff. Good cold bite, no squeal and last ages. Oh and they're cheap.

If its the mechatronics unit then the cost of the fix is nowhere near as eye watering as it used to be, plus the unit can be changed with the engine and box in situ.

As mentoned I'd go with a second set of wheels with dedicated track rubber like AR1's. You can fit a spare set of wheels (and exhaust) in there even with the passenger seat in situ :LOL:

Maybe, shame really as the 100's were an excellent. I've just sold my set from the Skoda to my mate for his EP3. He cannot believe the levels of grip they produce from cold and just keep getting better with heat.

I wouldn't go with the NS2R 180's Dan as I found them lethal on my roadster as you just cant get any heat into them on the road, OK on track once warm but start to go off quickly when pushing on. I sold mine which were nearly new and used my Nankang AR1's instead as they are much better in all...

You'd be absolutely fine with a 225/40/18 92Y XL tyre. Save yourself some money.

Falken FK510 are brilliant for the money. I had them on my heavy Mondeo ST TDCI in 225/40/18 and loved them. Also had the GY Efficient grip and F1 5's which were also very good just a bit softer sidewalls than the FK510's.

Helper spring is just there to keep the main spring in place, adjust away if on compressing the helper.

You wont need 8J wheels for a Clio. They'll require at least a 215 section tyre which is more expensive. Stick with 7J and go with a 205 section tyre for dry track days.

Yeah they're 8 years old according to the DOT dates. R08 (X08) compound so road legal. Got myself a set of MRF slicks instead.
