I took lower front bumper off (separated from the grill), popped the bonnet with a long thin screwdriver and then put charger/jump leads on it.

I only ever run winter tyres on the vectra. Such a benefit in the wet especially when braking. 17" and pay 120 a pair for Michelin with 7mm left on them. Wonder if this country will follow other countries in making winter tyres a legality?

Yeah that bit destroyed itself but in all fairness it's done quite a few events now. Will have to find the time to get the box out and get it sorted.

Diff was working fine, some serious loading going onto the shafts when it dried out and hitting the kerbs stressed them more resulting in the inner cv on the long shaft pulling out a bit and side loading onto the gearbox out drive shaft snapping it off. Full rebuild required.

Yeah box out and rebuild and while it's out the gripper may as well have a service (What sort of price @NorthloopCup ?)

Probably didn't help as in stages 9 and 10 I was having fun chasing down the 106 cup car so admittedly I was using the kerbs a bit.

It was great fun apart from me doing an extra lap by mistake on stage 2 we set some competitive times. Then at the end of stage 10 the long drive shaft let go and took out the outboard shaft on the gearbox. Game over. Gutted.

Ran out of time again today due to having to pick the kids up etc but it is pretty much there now. Most annoying issue was having to move the codriver seat forward and up to the top of the sidemounts as it fouls on the door bar. I may have to have a look again and perhaps drill new holes and...

@shiftspark I will be there on Sunday, I just need to finish profiling the dash round the new cage and bolt seats etc back in. Seeded entry isn't up yet as entry doesn't close until tomorrow but there's an unseeded entry list on the wigan motor club site.

No I got them direct from HRX after doing a deal for seats, harnesses and side mounts with them at last year's Autosport show. Bryn has only started dealing them this year.

Comfiest seats ever. Got them in my clio. HRX harnesses are excellent too
