So funny (depressing) seeing how people used to fill up Clio's for £36. Think the most I've put in mine was about £68 when it was like 1.45 a litre. Its about £63 now.

I went from two Clio's to an MX5 back to a Clio. To be fair my MX5 got the most slating "Barbie car" etc. ironically it was off students who either didn't drive or had s**t 15 year old MK4 Fiestas. Pikeys.

I get told mines a girls car or I'm a chav. Neither of which I care about. A car is just another thing that people make a prejudgement of a person about.

I'd rather have the 182 and change than an early 197. The early 197's have the silly low ratio gearboxes, no option of cup chassis or recaros. Just my personal opinion but I'd want one that at least had cup chassis and recaros. Ideally like climate too. Basically 182 spec in a 197.

Hang on? Don't these engines suffer from the cam chain stretch you talk about everytime something with the 3.2 V6 in is mentioned? You will have done your research, is it not as common as first thought or is it a risk your willing to take?

My local is a Flaming grill and one of the barmaids who is like a size 6 at most managed to do it. Nobody knows how, she must have hollow legs. I couldn't do it that's for sure, I do see people regularly finish it though.

I don't care what it looks like providing it weighs no more than the 200, and can be relatively easily tuned to about 240bhp. Combine this with handling comparable to a 200 and I'd put my name on the list today.

There are members on here that have 172's on 130+K miles on the original clutch. Clutch is not a common problem. A modest torque output and linear power delivery doesn't put much strain on it. Unless its been launched constantly all its life. There are a few really good buying guides on here...

It will be a long 10 days. I had my 172 on my drive for a week before I could insure it. It was torture. Your going to enjoy it mate.

Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news As long as it handles and stops as well as the 200 and has a bit more straight line pace and economy what's not to like. I'm confident it will be a cracking car, they've yet to make a bad RS Clio.

Very crude way of estimating power. "Getting off the line" is more about grip and the cars ability to put its power down but most of all the driver. Regardless of power I'm sure drivability has increased a lot with the extra power.

If I did the miles to warrant a diesel I'd be happy with either an 80 or 100. I've got a lot of time for the dci Clio's, I think they're a great engine. Much better than any of the petrols, except the F4R of course. I definitely should have got one instead of my 1.2 as my first car. Even a 65...

This is mine with and without decat. Its the 182 system with one back box. With: Without: I love the system. It doesn't boom on the motorway even with the decat and sounds really nice. Reasonably loud too without being too much.
