    But how's your shaft girth?
  2. JamesBryan

    The Dog Kennel

Common for aftermarket shafts to not be as chunky in the middle. Only thing to watch out for is it bottoming out in the diff cup inside the box.

Give the old one a pull and the new one a push to compress the cv end and see if it's any closer to matching. As @Klumpy Dumpy says it could just be down to age/wear.

Yeah exactly the same with RSTuner.

    Airbag light help - midlands

Easier with the resistors taken out and letting it tell you what's missing. Guessing that's what you did?

    Airbag light help - midlands

I believe she's fitted Recaro Trendlines, so it will be seat airbags. I could do it if you were ever in the North West @Bubbles It can, but you may need Google Translate open as a lot of the menus/settings are in French 😅

    Oil & Temp gauge

Quick glance to see it. Had it set to turn yellow when over 100c and red over 130c.

I had the digital Spa gauge on mine

    Gearbox oil

TL4 box on the 200 holds 2.4L and the JC5 from the 182 holds 3.1L. That's from dry.

    Gearbox oil

I use a pump for mine and takes about 10 mins to drain and refill. Much more expensive though, but it does 4-5 cars per year.

    Steering column lock issue.

Good question. I've never messed with the column really. I know the lock barrel comes out, there's a grub screw holding it in and then I think you have to turn the key to remove it.

    Steering column lock issue.

I don't think there's anything you can mess with when taking the wheel off which would affect the steering lock 🤔

Home cctv and phone apps? recommendations please!

I've got some old Hikvision cameras, i think 4-5mp, not the colourvu stuff. 2 cameras with a 1TB drive gets me 7 days of constant recordings. Depends how long you want to be able to go back. I'm sure you can blank off areas you don't want to capture.

Sure i've seen people measure the Milwaukee 18v stuff and it's actually been more like 20v

    Some expert thoughts - 182

Just seems odd for what looks like a pretty much standard car.

Oil cooler? Where are the lines going to then? Oil coolers usually come off a plate where the oil filter is.
  19. JamesBryan

    Some expert thoughts - 182

Yeah could potentially be running a cooler on the low pressure return.

What are the silver braided hoses in the engine bay for?

    Air conditioning refresh

Yeah mine made the same noise when low. Needs pressure testing as said, vacuum doesn't prove it'll hold when the system works under pressure at like 6bar. Find a proper AC place that specialises in just that.

    Paul’s Pearl

Could be right, i assumed bank 1 sensor 1 😅 I'd log the sensor voltage and see what it's saying. Should be steady voltage if it's working and cat is ok.

    Paul’s Pearl

Does look like pre-cat. 8200830903 is the part from what i can see. Which is a Bosch unit. https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-116937-bosch-lambda-sensor-0258010110-ls-10110.aspx Edit: Although it does depend on the connector type, it could also be a Bosch LS6046 (same as a 182) if it's an oval...

    Gearbox oil

I don't think there is a service interval for it. Probably only gets done with a clutch change. I did mine every year as i could do it myself and it's no more expensive than engine oil. Worth doing if you don't know the history and then it'll be fine for the rest of your ownership. Elf NFX...
