    Well this sucks..... (Vacuums)

It did the mapping by itself too! When you first set it up it just goes off exploring for a bit and you can see the map building on the app as it goes. You then tell it what room is what, carpet or hard floor etc, set no go areas. Then you can have room specific settings aswell. It's impressive...

    Well this sucks..... (Vacuums)

We've got a Tapo one. Really easy to set up and does an ok job. It has caused carnage a couple of times though, but that was our own fault for leaving things laying around It's doing the dining room at the moment

Glad the key is sorted mate. So what was it in the end?

    Key completely dead - Clio 172 Ph1

Yeah the key should still light up when pressed. If it doesn't it would suggest a lack of power to the key, or the microswitch. What I don't know is how the immobiliser ring works on the ignition. Does that require the key to be powered so it transmits it's "code" so the car starts, or does the...

    Key completely dead - Clio 172 Ph1

Only thing I can think is the lack of power to both the car and the key being flat for so long, it's lost its coding? But for the central locking only, as you've used the key to start it so the immobiliser recognises the key, otherwise it wouldn't of started

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Anyone want this for 50 quid? Das6 pro. It's a fair few years old, dusty as f**k, the odd dead spider etc HAS to be collected from Stoke on Trent as I cannot be arsed posting it I think it's worth 50 quid anyway. Maybe

    First Car Project - Clio 172 PH1

Tbf you did say you wanted to hear what it sounded like with no exhaust on 🤣 If it started though then there's no issue with the immobiliser/key. The remote central locking will be the microswitch definitely The light is a bit of an odd one though

    Key completely dead - Clio 172 Ph1

I'd put money on that being the issue mate

    Key completely dead - Clio 172 Ph1

Need to get the key working first. Once that's working and locking/unlocking the car, then you'll need to hold the button on the key as you turn the ignition on. That will sort the immobiliser

    First Car Project - Clio 172 PH1

I watched that that stone automotive video and I felt fairly confident I could do it myself. You've got to have all the right locking tools though, and not the cheap s**t ones. You just need to tripple tripple tripple check everything before turning it over Could get a cheap 2nd hand engine...

    Key completely dead - Clio 172 Ph1

There's something in the back of my head that if I remember right it was like an anti tamper thing that if the wrong key was used, the lock just rotated. I may of completely made that up though! If that door has been replaced then I'm guessing the lock isn't the original unfortunately mate. Not...

    Key completely dead - Clio 172 Ph1

The red LED should light up when you press the button. It could be one of the solder joints have gone or corrosion on the terminals for the battery maybe? Stick a picture of the PCB up mate
  27. James

    First Car Project - Clio 172 PH1

The key might of lost it's coding if it's been dead for a while maybe? That might not be a thing though so someone else might confirm. Key defo worked originally though
