Yeah, really pleased with it.
No more power. I just wanted to get the best out of the current hardware, I also don't want to start chasing a number. Next is some maintenance, some bushes and quality of life stuff.
Are we local? I have a 7 degree timing bar you can borrow.
Took the trip to Engine Dynamics yesterday, stayed the night before as it's 4 hours each way and my booking was 9am this morning.
Turned up this morning to be met by Andy who's took me through the mapping process. Very knowledgeable guy and I felt very reassured, even if some of what he said...
@Yeti_runner feel a bit stupid asking you this, but is this yours?
Drivenbydg_ on IG.
(feeling stupid, because how many Renault Clio phase 1 172's are in the US)
I am very invested in this. I'm looking for a non droney, not too loud, but still free flowing exhaust.
I've a 182 manifold, sports cat and KTR resonated exhaust.
I was considering the Piper but at the time, @cjgower put me off as you said it was loud when you fitted it.
No pictures or videos, but I took the Clio out for a little drive yesterday.
It's incredible. I didn't really know what to expect having never tuned and NA car before, but I was really surprised and impressed. It goes so well and the sound of the RS2 inlet, just amazing. Very pleased.
I've...
ECU off to Andy at ED.
Couldn't help but throw the 2118's on. Because no one has ever seen a Clio with 2118's on.
They won't be staying white. Off for a refurb and a change of colour.
The old airfilter for the RS2 inlet was hanging. So found a similar item.
I was speaking to Andy at...
On track to have the RS2 inlet fitting to my 172 Cup.
One thing that's bothering me is the filter. It looks like someone has run over it.
I'm struggling to find a replacement.
It's a Pipercross item. However nothing on thier site seems to match the size of this one.
Anyone have any...
Cam Belt Kit, Keyed Bottom Pulley, 197 cams, 7 degree timing, aux belt, oil + filter, coolant, 182 Manifold, sports CAT and an MOT (no advisories) for good measure.
Phil at the Grange Service Station Cardiff put in a great shift.
I was expecting it to be super hard to drive it...
Not sure if I've mentioned Tasty Classics before and can't see it mentioned (recently at least)
Noticed the amount of total views are dropping, not sure if that's because his thumbnails have changed quite a bit, for the worse.
Plenty more in my build thread. That's the Matterhorn in the distance.
My gripes, exhaust was too droney and the I had a dead arse from the seat. Both of these things are my fault and not the Clio's.
