Played around with ChatGPT and it’s made me realise I need (want) some springs and spacers…not as low as this but couldn’t finesse the chat prompts. Think eibach do some decent springs but need to do some research as I think xdrive is slightly different. And then there’s the whilst you’re there...

It does appear to have spacers and definitely agree it’s already low! It had some advisories on spring corrosion previously, but haven’t inspected them yet! Cup spoiler perhaps, need to find one first that isn’t mental money! It’s got cloth seats, I’m not sure if I fancy a couple of bucket seats...

...a different pad entirely. The greasing seems to have cured it, fingers crossed. You just undo the retaining pin, gathering up the two little spacers as you go, and then the pads just push out. So easy even I managed it, which says a lot :ROFLMAO: I've done some motorway miles in the car...

As above check hub nut torque, spacers shouldnt make an issue unless wheel was nearly falling off. Wiggle test 12-6pm to check for play, if still has play will be bearing issues.

MOT retest on Friday- headlight: sorted, indicator: sorted, brake caliper pins: sorted, wheel bearing: on the basis that they are brand new oem, I’m going to guess this was an effect from the spacer, so removing them for the retest, leaking dampers: have spring compressors and will have the new...

What have you done to your car today ???

To resolve selector leak. Did you pull the box out or buy one of those kits that allow the box to stay in situ?

...due to a house purchase and being busy with work. But I did manage to get proper sized rubber (195/50/15) fitted and got the wheels on, 5mm spacers and 5mm extended wheel bolts sorted that job out. Then once it came out of winter storage I had a couple weeks before it was due it’s MOT...

CLIO 172 rear stub axles and abs

So I was changing the rear brake discs and bearings on my clio 172 (standard) and I saw that there are two different thickness stub axles. The plate on one is 18mm and the other is 13mm. I've read on the forums that the thicker one is of a 182, correct me if im wrong. Can I just place a 5mm...

Just a thought- front wheel bearings were done, I then added spacers- wonder if a spacer is giving the effect of a loose wheel bearing???

Hi there fellows! Any clue if jr10 16x8 et20 with 215-45-16 will rub? Running on yellow konis with sportlines. And also is there is any chance to take 197 brembos with 300x24 disks with no spacers? Thanks!

TASK 10 Rear discs and pads. I’ve also sprayed the centre caps black to match the wheels. I had some trouble with the front wheel spacers, rears virtually fell off, someone actually used copper grease (on the rears). No problem with any of the bolts, but I did find it challenging winding...

Yes At this Stage I'm between 3 KYB shocks, I know that are oil and gas instead of the originals oil only but may be better for the lumpy roads in NZ K&Y 333708 , What a parts store in NZ say that works, Unfortunately they don't have it in NZ and is a special order to I cant check if its 54mm...

What have you done to your car today ???

Cheers. It feels a million times better too. Dead easy mate. I just followed this video. Even easier for me as I don’t have CC. The only thing that took a little bit of time was machining the spacer, luckily my dad has a lathe so we machined down a washer that I bought.

...only so cold start probably wasn’t a priority. I’ve also had an alignment on it to dial out a bit tow a front camber. It’s still showing a lot of camber on the rear so guess Stu had shims fitted for a previous ring trip. I will probably remove them and fit some axle stub spacers at some point.

    Paul’s Pearl

Could be right, i assumed bank 1 sensor 1 😅 I'd log the sensor voltage and see what it's saying. Should be steady voltage if it's working and cat is ok.
  25. RSRowe

    Paul’s Pearl

That code suggests the second sensor to me. It is saying the cat isn't working as well as it should be. A cheap fix for now would be to fit an angled spacer to the sensor. That doesn't fix the cat being past its best (which will probably get picked up on its next MOT) but it will get rid of...

...and bleed, and rear discs and pads. I was going to leave the rears, but, I figure I may as well just do them. I’ve still got one rust prevention and maintenance to do on the subframe. I’d also like a stud and nut conversion as I hated f**king around with the wheels with those massive spacers.

...to f*ck the photo up but you get the idea. This as as far as we got today, new passenger seat that isn't covered in shite and seat base mocked up with threaded rivet nuts in the factory seat holes, just need to make up some spacers to get it level, then it needs to be drilled for the seat.
