    Rojer's 200T

Oh dear 😂 they last longer upfront 🤷‍♂️ two trackdays is very little mileage, weird

    Rojer's 200T

Im going for bluestuff on the back of my megane, more than good enough for the job and wear well, £100 to your door which helps too

    Removing pollen filter cover rivets

Next time put a screw into the centre of it and pull it out if its stuck, it'll save your plastics 👍

    Titanium shims

Yeah its not cheap, two titanium bolts a guy showed me at work for a specific task, m20 x120mm or thereabouts, just under £600 quid he said 🫣😂, there kept in a locked drawer incase they go missing

    Titanium shims

I've ordered a set from rival performance 👍

    Titanium shims

No I've never boiled the fluid, currently have rbf600, I never put ducting on the clio and the brakes were getting too hot and retaining heat, so this would be a must next time on both cars. The main reason for me was to protect the calipers, as the clio seals are pretty much knackered although...

    My cheap(ish) 172 Cup

See if you can find a scrapyard not far way to help yourself to some bits such as the rubbers, some breakers on ebay may be local too so worth a look, although the mk2 is now very rare to find over the past 2yrs or so for scrap, very thin on the ground for parts it seems. Our local one is mainly...

    Titanium shims

What size ducting is good, 3inch or so? I plan to tie wrap it under the splitter up to the disc area, again this will be fitted in the morning and removed before I head home, maybe not perfect but it should help a little

    Titanium shims

What ones did you use, seen perforated ebc ones for under 50 quid, kam racing are nearly double for same item 🤷‍♂️

    Titanium shims

Titanium brake pad shims, I'm looking to maybe get a set for my megane 3rs before an upcoming trackday. Supposedly they help quite a bit with overall brake caliper/pad temperature by reducing heat soak back into the caliper. My other thinking is they would protect the seals from going brittle...

    Tyre recommendations 🙋

Yeah that's the issue, can't have it all i guess unless you spend the money. I've just fitted potenza evo enliten to my megane so might just take that instead, again not sure if the tyres will be a big let down after a few laps 🫣🤷‍♂️

    Tyre recommendations 🙋

Not sure, I thought they'd overhear very quickly on track in the summer, colder months maybe not so bad, but not sure tbh

    Tyre recommendations 🙋

Looking at new tyres for the clio, not looking to spend a lot of money as this may be the cars last outing, its currently on ado8r which I've found to be good but seem to be no longer available in the uk in size required 205 45 16. Two sets I've came across, nankang NS-2R (180 compound), or...

    Chris's 172 Cup Turbo

Yup that's done i think 😂 get a standard megane them a remap, sort the brakes and you'd be good to go really, the standard ex, intercooler, cat etc is fine up to 300

    Chris's 172 Cup Turbo

You'd only need a diff, better tyres maybe and good coilovers like you say, thats 3k though 🫣😂

    Chris's 172 Cup Turbo

I have a lightly modified 172 cup and a standard 275cup, both really different cars regarding weight, power and the cost of parts. The megane I've not had on track yet but even on the road as standard, it's miles ahead obviously in handing etc, you do notice the extra weight though quite a bit...

    Key completely dead - Clio 172 Ph1

Wow big difference in cost, although mine wasn't through renault, just a guy that does it from his van

    Key completely dead - Clio 172 Ph1

I was quoted £110 for a new key the other month up in Aberdeen, gives you a rough cost

    172 Clutch Cable too Short?

Have you measured the old/new cables next to each other, pull the pedal all the way up and pull harder 😂 can only be the ratchet or wrong routing if cable is same as removed

    2025 16 inch tyre choices

I got new potenza evo's fitted to the megane today, halfords were cheapest by a long shot with the discount, worth a look. Wonder how the ps5 are compared to the ps3, I found the sidewalls of ps3 were far too soft, comfortable tyre though

    Mondial 172 Cup OEM+ / Rolling Resto

You may want to get the front braking checked to make sure its equal to both front calipers, a sticky front caliper over a few miles can also upset the front bias, all worth a check just to be sure
  29. N

    Mondial 172 Cup OEM+ / Rolling Resto

Nightmare! came out with not too much damage, defo need temporary ducting on track to the front brakes on these, what pads/fluid you running. My cup brakes very lightly at the rear, yours should be the same providing it doesn't have the rod fitted to the compensator, luckily parts for these are...

    Clio 182 restoration

It was a company in dyce Scotland (highland electroplaters) they just do industrial stuff but I popped in with them all in a carrier bag thinking it would be a no, boy said 20 quid be ready in a few days, there will be a company local to you surely, some came back plated but excessive pitting so...
