Imo don't bother with a forged bottom end do as you say with the top end.
I know a few guys who race with a similar setup and there is nothing in it with them verus "built" engines.
A dif and roll centre kit would be where my money goes instead.
Just did a hot day at Combe yesterday on some well worn A048's I was very impressed with them once I got the pressures right. I think they felt as good as 888's
Rear strut brace does absolutely nothing. Only thing to help keep beam straight is a strengthening kit like pms do or to take cage through the floor to pick up the beam like Tom Johnson has done on his build.
