Yeah its not cheap, two titanium bolts a guy showed me at work for a specific task, m20 x120mm or thereabouts, just under £600 quid he said 🫣😂, there kept in a locked drawer incase they go missing
No I've never boiled the fluid, currently have rbf600, I never put ducting on the clio and the brakes were getting too hot and retaining heat, so this would be a must next time on both cars.
The main reason for me was to protect the calipers, as the clio seals are pretty much knackered although...
See if you can find a scrapyard not far way to help yourself to some bits such as the rubbers, some breakers on ebay may be local too so worth a look, although the mk2 is now very rare to find over the past 2yrs or so for scrap, very thin on the ground for parts it seems. Our local one is mainly...
What size ducting is good, 3inch or so? I plan to tie wrap it under the splitter up to the disc area, again this will be fitted in the morning and removed before I head home, maybe not perfect but it should help a little
Titanium brake pad shims, I'm looking to maybe get a set for my megane 3rs before an upcoming trackday.
Supposedly they help quite a bit with overall brake caliper/pad temperature by reducing heat soak back into the caliper. My other thinking is they would protect the seals from going brittle...
Yeah that's the issue, can't have it all i guess unless you spend the money.
I've just fitted potenza evo enliten to my megane so might just take that instead, again not sure if the tyres will be a big let down after a few laps 🫣🤷♂️
Looking at new tyres for the clio, not looking to spend a lot of money as this may be the cars last outing, its currently on ado8r which I've found to be good but seem to be no longer available in the uk in size required 205 45 16.
Two sets I've came across, nankang NS-2R (180 compound), or...
Yup that's done i think 😂 get a standard megane them a remap, sort the brakes and you'd be good to go really, the standard ex, intercooler, cat etc is fine up to 300
I have a lightly modified 172 cup and a standard 275cup, both really different cars regarding weight, power and the cost of parts. The megane I've not had on track yet but even on the road as standard, it's miles ahead obviously in handing etc, you do notice the extra weight though quite a bit...
Have you measured the old/new cables next to each other, pull the pedal all the way up and pull harder 😂 can only be the ratchet or wrong routing if cable is same as removed
I got new potenza evo's fitted to the megane today, halfords were cheapest by a long shot with the discount, worth a look.
Wonder how the ps5 are compared to the ps3, I found the sidewalls of ps3 were far too soft, comfortable tyre though
