Have you checked under the car with the undertray off for any leaks?

Check your oil cap for any white mayonnaise looking build up. Smell your oil cap also, see if it smells of a of water contamination.

did you change the oil filter also?

Seems strange to spend all that money on the engine being built up recently to then throw the towel in. You need to get some enjoyment out of it if you’ve paid an eye watering bill for it to be done.

I’d say you’d get away with it, the pistons don’t go up as far as that. So I can’t see it affecting anything.

without looking if the aux belt has gone into the cambelt, it’s anyone’s guess. But I’d take a guess and say it has gone in, as that’s the killer of F4R’s. The aux belt can manage to get past the timing case and take the cambelt out with it.

Are you implying your surprised it’s worth that much? Or devastated it’s not worth 10,000,000? mileage means nothing if it hasn’t got the history to go with it. It might as well have 185,000 miles if it needs belts etc.
