I've taken a screen print and highlighted a bit yellow. It looks like fresh metal is showing which could rust...

@Phase1sr when they fitted the exhaust, did they trim any metal to make room (it looks like they did?) Did they treat it with anti rust paint etc?

Why not do a front end swap on your 182? That way you will have the ph2 dash and complete knowledge of the car (and you can always swap back in the future if you wanted?

No, the run in period doesn't require an oil change. First required oil change is the first service. Didn't stop me though.

Yes, from memory the RS engine puts out c.60bhp more than the Mustang engine.

The block yes, but the head is different which I think is where the problems are coming from.

Waterwipes are an option if you can't be fussed with cotton buds but don't want to use wipes with chemicals. They're not cheap though.
