Afternoon lads, so i’ve done a bit of googling, as it turns out when the wheel was new, its actually a sort of ‘rough’ finish between those grooves? Its not so much chrome as more a machined finish if that makes any sense? Heres a newer one;

Trying to bring the back wheel on the bike back to life. The wheel seems to attract water marks. Also the ‘notched’ parts of the wheel are caked in 23 years worth of road grime. Having a nightmare bringing the metal back. I’ve tried wire wool (000) and wd40. But its barely touched it. Can...

It must weigh the same as f**king Jupiter i’d imagine, non?
