I assumed that once you're out, you stay out. Unless they'll let us use the lower pitlane for doing tyre pressures?

    172 Gearbox DIY Repair Troubles

The ones indicated as B on this are the original type. Looks like you have type A Type B listed on Pure Motorsport: https://www.pure-motorsport.co.uk/individual-jc5-gearbox-parts Selector forks no longer available and those plastic tips aren't available on their own. @NorthloopCup might...

    Noisy power steering.

Yeah definitely must have been a trick we missed 🤦🏻‍♂️
  11. JamesBryan

    Noisy power steering.

Yeah we did the same and still seemed stuck, but came straight out when we removed the AC pump (his isn't connected, just acting as another idler pulley 😅) Like there didn't seem to be enough room for it to drop down here
  12. JamesBryan

    Noisy power steering.

@Flob did you remove the AC compressor? I'm sure when we did Lee's, there wasn't enough space between the steering pump bracket and the AC for it to drop down and come out 🤔
  13. JamesBryan

    Noisy power steering.

Oh yeah easy. Obviously need a way of compressing the aux tensioner (heavy duty jubilee) and then just various spanners and sockets. Space is tight in places. You'll have to unbolt the pulley from the pump to get it out.

    Noisy power steering.

Yeah did one on Lee's a few months ago. First time doing one, bit fiddly but not too bad if you have all the tools. Worth flushing the system with fresh fluid before fitting the new pump.

Home cctv and phone apps? recommendations please!

Assuming you're wanting to record the video? A network video recorder (NVR) will provide the power you need for the camera.

    The Dog Kennel

    But how's your shaft girth?
  19. JamesBryan

    The Dog Kennel

Common for aftermarket shafts to not be as chunky in the middle. Only thing to watch out for is it bottoming out in the diff cup inside the box.

    The Dog Kennel

Give the old one a pull and the new one a push to compress the cv end and see if it's any closer to matching. As @Klumpy Dumpy says it could just be down to age/wear.

Yeah exactly the same with RSTuner.

    Airbag light help - midlands

Easier with the resistors taken out and letting it tell you what's missing. Guessing that's what you did?

    Airbag light help - midlands

I believe she's fitted Recaro Trendlines, so it will be seat airbags. I could do it if you were ever in the North West @Bubbles It can, but you may need Google Translate open as a lot of the menus/settings are in French 😅

    Gearbox oil

TL4 box on the 200 holds 2.4L and the JC5 from the 182 holds 3.1L. That's from dry.

    Gearbox oil

I use a pump for mine and takes about 10 mins to drain and refill. Much more expensive though, but it does 4-5 cars per year.
