Yeah I think the Canon 24mm should be fine. Most of my shots were 24mm. I took my 150-500 with me and hardly used it. Was a heavy thing to lug about most days too 😂

The ship we were on was huge. Loads for the kids to do and tbf, they didn't moan that much when we went on 3 decent walks. Beer was quite pricey like you'd previously mentioned but I got a flight/plank in Flåm which I think was about £15... 5 beers, probably totaling a bit more than a pint 😂...
