Yup had to do the exact same thing on my phase 2 after I tried to use the spare key and it wouldn't start it

The red LED should light up when you press the button. It could be one of the solder joints have gone or corrosion on the terminals for the battery maybe? Stick a picture of the PCB up mate

The key might of lost it's coding if it's been dead for a while maybe? That might not be a thing though so someone else might confirm. Key defo worked originally though

Think it's an M6 10mm hex head bolt under the arch liner on each side of the bumper. The small torx screws I think hold the liner to the bumper, and then there's two by each headlight under the grill that I can't remember which. Hopefully they're all there (assuming they were the right ones...
