If fitting cs in clio2/3 from a different car, it will be a simple recalibration to the srs ecu to sort the airbag light/system. You could possibly wire them in and the ecu might be happy if resistance is correct/matches what the ecu expects.
Best cs are the aftermarket recaro without the...
Interesting one, hard to say. I guess the ecu is controlling the injection locking relay as pnp setup as i recall that powers coil and pump? I recall having to do something with this on ecumaster. Id have a look in the ecu settings and see if anything stands out.
R26 recaros, which are basically identical apart from subframes come up for sale all the time in half decent nick. Same with recaro cs, see them often enough with usual wear that can be fixed.

Parts have been arriving for the clutch change.
5ltrs ready mixed febi type d (actually for blue clio save postage etc), 5ltrs elf nfx gear oil and a ltr of castrol srf brake fluid. £150, prices are getting ridiculous compared to years ago, like liquid gold🤮
I was literally about to...
Small job done to the Kangoo
The screen washers packed up recently. Thinking it was the washerpump failed like they always do, i fcuked about changing it. Did not work, checked all fuses etc and turned out to be the stalk at fault. It would briefly work if pulled half way into the wash wipe...

Major service for blue dci yesterday. Cambelt, aux kit, oil change and a few small jobs.
Cambelt was last done December 2021 / 143,000 miles so was not due on age, but with mileage on almost 217,000 was more or less due as 75k interval. Its been using a little bit of coolant so...
Use the oem tool mot.991 to install to the correct depth which is slightly proud of the block and use an oem seal.
Also check its not the main cap leaking, which is quite often the case.
Mine might be the same, does feel a little numb moving it when going straight.
I best start looking for a 200 cup rack. Im sure its shared with a scenic or something similar from memory
Whats the symptoms of the rack? Dead spot or just vague?
My kangoo runs basically the same rack..still on the original diesel one 150thou ish. Wonder if its contributing to the torque steer🤣 the mrs was driving it last week and she said its not that responsive.
My solenoid was hanging in mid air and no eml  usually only comes on if valve faulty or removed.
The clicking was annoying with no canister so i removed it and fitted a resistor to keep ecu happy.
Track pics
Took it out tonight and can i fcuk repeat the clutch slipping under high load.
Clutch bits ordered though as i feel leaving it will bite me in the arse next trackday. Looking forward to that job ill admit :sneaky:
Thanks for reading!
Melbourne did used to be 1/4 mile until it closed for a bit, then re opened with 1/8 only. I think its money that stops them doing the rest. Entrance/runoff road was rough as fcuk!
Ive not been to Elvington for years, since early TOTB days. Surface was terrible back then.
I do fancy a run on...
Elvington/Straightliners? I think its more top speed stuff. Expensive too but closer defo. Call me a dragracer/snob, but pod is the best track in the uk by far.
Melbourne only 1/8 mile sadly. When it was York raceway i used to go all the time. Surface was terrible, blew 2nd gear up in my extra...

Croft trackday last Friday, had a great day. A few of us had booked on so was a great turnout.
Weather was far too hot being in the low 30's and all turbo cars were suffering with heat, so was shorter duration sessions compared to 10+ laps at a time. The r26 was creeping up to 107deg...
Any tips/advice on measuring installed height on springs? I have a set to do soon.
I was told a while back that springs wear out pretty fast, so not shocked to see yours are under spec. I reckon a few of them on my trophy will be similar.
Totally unrelated/different use, top fuel cars check...
In the quest for 500hp we have a small update.
M3rs fuel rail modified to have flow and return, and regulator on the rail removed, done by Lloyds Motorsport.
You might ask why ive done this with a couple of off the shelf billet alloy fuel rails available for m3rs. The reason why i wont use...
I had a few messages from them asking if i would go but declined it this time. Needs fuel system doing for safety on 25psi really so needs a bit more prep for big sends currently. Also 360mile round trip for drag racing on a unprepped dragstrip, would have been more tempted if it was santa pod...
