    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

So glad to see it finally home. Can remember seeing it looking sorry for itself at said ‘Specalist’ in July 2015. Hope you can once again enjoy it.

Where best to fit an additional silencer

@banhama In the link I posted they do a 10" & 8" so would be 14" or 12" respectively overall.

Where best to fit an additional silencer

Installed, sorry it won’t let me add a photo for some reason 🤷‍♂️

Where best to fit an additional silencer

I bought the 4" Diameter one by 12" long so it is a total of 16" long if you choose the clamp on version.

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

Looking great. Before I zoomed in I thought it was Bristol Airport. Some nice drives over the Mendips not too far away. I think @Daniel knows a good place in Bristol for geo set up.

Track day car steering wheel recommendations please!

Another vote for the OMP Targa I also have the Volantech Renaultsport 6 Button Cruise Control & Horn Panel so you can retain cruise and also saves having to change the indicator stalk for one with horn button. link to panel...

    Hushing the ktec ’stealth’ exhaust

I Have just added a centre silencer to my Piper cat back system. It has made a nice difference and has eliminated the drone at motorway speeds. Probably only dropped the decibels down by about 3db's but the car is much nicer to drive now.

    My 1 owner 172 cup

It's a very simple removal. Just remember to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes. It's a Torx T50 from memory. Renault's recommendation is to replace the bolt whenever the steering wheel is removed and the part number is 8200697105 Less than a Fiver.

    172 exhaust

I would go with a downturned tailpipe as your car is too nice to cut the bumper. I did cut mine and in some respect regret it now.

    MK5 Clio

I have been driving a RS Line since November 2019 with the 1.3 TCe auto. Big step up from the MK4 and easily achieve 50mpg.

Spongy brake pedal after front pad change

I have had P0130 several times. lambda sensor if I am right. reset with my cheap code reader and a good blast and it normally doesn't come back for a while. I normally get it if I am not using the car much and just moving it in and out of the garage.

    Radio Blanking Plate

Hi, I bought just a cheap standard single din blanking plate off ebay for my track car. Can't find the item though as was a couple of years ago.

Wheel looks good, I wish now I didn't bother with the centre band when I had mine done. https://www.powerflex.co.uk/product-details/Renault+Clio+II+%28inc+172+%26+182%29+Exhaust+Mount/12293.html These are the exhaust poly bushes most have changed to.

Looks a nice tidy example. I would definitely recommend getting Snappy to retrim the steering wheel. A suspension refresh is also worthwhile. Parts are relatively well priced from RPD.

    182FF Inferno Turbo

Can't beat a Snappy wheel. Have one sat in my garage as I fitted a OMP Targa as my car is mainly a track car.

    Cup alternator?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271889562843 May not be the cheapest but you will know it will fit. Also if you can return your old one you get £20 back. You could also try your local dealer and see if he will price match, that’s what I did.

    Cup alternator?

This is the part Number on my receipt of the one I bought in March for a 172.

    Retro fitting cruise control

https://www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/parts/engine-parts/renault-clio-172-182-alternator-7711134267/ According to this yes. The only one that is different is the Cup as that is 75amp.

    Retro fitting cruise control

Reading your other thread about the drain of the battery I would guess the issue is related to that. Alternator would be my guess. By sheer coincidence a month after I retro-fitted cruise my alternator gave up.

    Retro fitting cruise control

Was that a replacement stalk as well and If so did you have the same issue with the old stalk?
