you can get very cheap induction kits an argo nowadays. £40 ish!! you could drill holes in you airbox. (old school style) but if you were to do this, id get a old airbox from a scrappy to replace the drilled one at car change time.

22 when i got my 172, and paid 1k. dont think id ever pay above 1k for insurance. but i know 17 y/o pay about £1.5K for a 1.2 corsa. when i was 17 (now 26) a 1.2 nova cost about £500 to insure!
