I haven't watched it all yet, but from the bit I did see it's going to implement it in many areas like on the desktop, in applications including games. So let's say you get the new fallout, because it's MS owned it would have the ads regardless if you played on Steam or anywhere else.

@Flat Eric You can still go through all the TV settings and turn it all off and ideally disconnect from the internet. They can record external devices connected to the TV and send the data back. From my understanding of the video, when you opt out they do one final snapshot and send the data...
