A change for the better imo. Get a ph 2 mate if you can, difficult to find a good one for 3k but it's possible. 3.5k and you'll have no worries.

I used the Sybex to pass my A+ but I also heard good things about Meyers. Either will do, the biggest thing is getting to grips with the way they ask the exam questions. The knowledge you need for the A+ is very basic but will help you do the N+ if you're starting from scratch.
