Yeah, Steve and Andy @ Birchdown are top blokes - but they are 77 miles one way away from me now. Nightingales are a tenth of that at just over 7 miles from work and by a quirk of luck, a work colleague lives about 300 yards away from them.
Drop my car off first thing and get a lift into work...
As someone who's PC gaming dates back to the early 1990s - I agree with the physical content being a nice thing to have. Manuals, novellas, overlays, maps - all added to the experience.
That said, I have not had an optical drive in my previous three PC builds. And on the extremely rare occasion...
True.
But with that comes the complete and over-powering sense of superiority and smugness. Why be forced to drink Lambrini when you can savour Krug?
Interesting times ahead - though I can't help but think it's falling between two established points in the market.
It's too lowly in overall spec for the PCMR - especially the 8GB VRAM when already we're being told that AAA titles are hitting the headroom that such capacity brings. Then...
Think I answered my own question yesterday. Used an open bottle of Sonus SFX-2 that must be 15 years old.
Gave it a good shake and went over the roof on the Clio due to various bird s**t and leaf marks. Came up really well - just need to do the rest of the car now! :P
Seems to be some information out there about cleaning products for the detailing pads themselves.
Are they worth it - or is simple warm water and squashing the pads the better option?
Cheers.
I have an irrational hatred for the standard light grey 182 lights. I really do dislike them. If there's one thing that I wish I could change easily, it would be these bloody things.
I can never shake the 'sun faded' look that used to plague cars of a certain age - especially the external...
Like most triple-AAA games - I'll wait a while (read - years) until issues are ironed out and it all works well. Left 2077 alone for five years before buying and starting it and it was 98% stable.
Hopefully as and when it arrives in PC land - Rockstar won't have the same head-wobble of RDR2 and...
Was fitting it straight-forward enough mate? Was thinking of using the original aerial code to act as a draw cable to pull the additional leads through?
Does the existing cable run straight down the middle of the car, or do it head off towards one of the A-pillars diagonally?
Thanks.
Has anyone fitted a combination aerial base to their 1*2?
Something similar to this?

Any successes or not? Just intrigued - to remove the DAB aerial strip from my windscreen really.
Thanks.
I did have an instrument cluster fail on mine a year or two after I got it. Thankfully, I returned it to Renault just a week or two before the warranty ran out and they replaced the entire thing.
Unfortunately, they never did say what the problem was - but it did appear to be behaving similar...
Sounds like I should be keeping them, then.... ;)
Never really had anything proper special. Mainly AutoGlym and Megs products. Probably have a few bottles with a few cap fulls in that could be binned I guess.
Hi all,
I presume it's a 'thing' like most fluids and chemicals - that they have a shelf life? Started a clear-out recently of accumulated crap over the years and remembered that I have quite a few shelved bottles of waxes, polishes and various other cleaning fluids.
I know for sure that I've...
Well, well, well....
Just had a few minutes to see if I could see any obvious fixes graphically - and I've spotted a few below.
No.1 for me that has annoyed me since the ACC days has been the texture pop-in of the grass banking at Oulton Park, when climbing out of Knickerbrook up to Clay Hill...
Nice one Andy - well described and interesting to read.
It does sound like there's a number of bug fixes in there too. I've not fired up 0.7 yet, but will do shortly - I'll see if I notice anything specific myself.
As mentioned a few posts up - stay well clear of kit using Fresnel lenses. I don't believe anything new actually does any more - but if there's a cheap 2nd hand kit coming your way - check on the lenses first.
Such a compromise to the primary function of VR - visual clarity. Utter crap.
Was just about to post this. :)
Interested to hear from Andy's (@SharkyUK) view, if there's anything significant in the rendering side below.
