Yep, exactly that. It was very strange. Both working absolutely fine in original vehicles! We use standalone satnavs as it’s the same as the ones used on test and also can program and record specific routes. For general personal use I just use my phone and Google.

The early cars (which mine is) tend to suffer but the later ones I think are slightly less affected but still a potential issue. It’s a capacitor problem that usually plagues them iirc.

Change the bulbs. Had this on my Megane. Couldn’t get to the bottom of it, so changed the brake light bulb and Voila! Fixed. The bulb itself looked absolutely fine which is why I didn’t change it from the off.

Mine either goes off if the battery voltage dips a bit low or there’s a spider inside 🙈 More often than not it’s the battery. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s dud. You can change the alternator without draining the AC fyi. I’ve done it.

You’re right. Mine started to fail in summer but only when the ambient temperature reached over 28° which being England didn’t happen very consistently being that it worked absolutely fine in the cooler temps meant it can’t have been the clutch that almost everyone told me it was!

Drivers side flap motor. Take the panel off by your feet and you’ll see. Quite easy to fix.

I thought it was the other way round, won’t rev in neutral but will in park?

Looks good but ditch those valve caps if they’re metal! They’ll corrode and be impossible to get off!

@Brigsy My brother has a query, can you or anyone else help? “Do any of your crew know if the glow plugs on the 80DCI mk2 Clio should be 0.5ohm or 0.9ohm, or if it matters? I think I had an intermittent shorting glow plug that was drawing alot of current but there is a mix of both installed!”
