Congratulations and enjoy! Get a project thread up and some pictures please. The 200t is one of few of my many cars I’ve owned that I miss and would have again in a heartbeat!
Oh just make sure you if you do get a 200, you get a lux model. They came with climate control, better satnav and rear electric windows! I believe the 220 had similar option pack. And the cup pack came with the larger wheels, red brake calipers and stiffer springs.
With the better satnav...
Without doubt it was one of the best cars I’ve owned. I loved my it. It was a nice car to drive, moved well and handled really well. You could casually drive around town or rip it down country roads.
I did a few mods to mine, h&r springs, spacers, air filter and a secretary cat delete and a back...
I’m pretty sure it’s only a software dofference. I managed to get my 200 flashed by Renault with the updated software, but it took some finding of a dealer who knew what I was talking about. That resulted in better drivability and was well worth it for the relatively small amount of money it...
Wow, I didn’t realise they were that expensive!! I remember when they were sub 600. I’m sure I paid 540 or something for my 172. But that was years ago although at a specialist.
Absolutely! I remember s13’s and s14’s being really cheap. But I too was poor and crap with money, ploughing wages into newish cars on finance instead.
It looks to be lower than standard so probably on springs already.
Will you replace the leather/alcantara seats? If it were mine I’d be on the lookout for a cup spoiler.
I had a grande punto abarth with the 1.4 tjet engine like the 500 abarth. Standard 155bhp and esseesse models had 180bhp.
It was a good little car, quite cool and both the grande and the punto evo abarth are rare to find. Although mine was standard, it scraped on speed bumps sometimes. The...
Nice pick up. Genuinely one of the best cars I’ve owned and would have another in a heart beat! I fitted one of the metal hot side pipes as well, purely because it’s not a case of if it fails and more when it fails. I’m sure I used the original seal with mine and it was ok but for the cost of a...
That actually doesn’t look bad, quite subtle really. I wonder if you should put an evo vent or a scooby vent on the bonnet too for good max power measure?
They also did a front bumper extension as well, which fitted over the standard front bumper. I managed to buy a brand new one in the early 2000’s when I had my Clio but never fitted it and I think it got thrown out in the end.
On the subject of this spoiler I don’t mind it, it’s one of the least...
If there is a problem with the lambda sensor reading effecting emissions, I doubt it would be the back box? Surely it would be by the cat or secondary cat? The lambda sensor is at the front. I had my backbox modified and altered and never had a problem, I also removed my secondary cat and also...
Make sure you get the correct one. some of the cup spoilers use a standard clio spoiler, not an rs spoiler. For example my low cup spoiler used a standard spoiler as its base, because the side panels are separate where the rs spoiler is all in one.
