    CSF25 ClioSport Festival 2025

Take it you are going on the A4120 to Aberystwyth then the A487 north? If so good roads to drive, enjoyed it when I drove them on a mini road trip with friends last October.

    Recommendation for photo edit software

I’ll take some more photos and then get an afternoon/evening off parenting to do a trial.

I take it paying is the only option? It’s not problem if it is.

    Recommendation for photo edit software

I’ve just bought a nice-ish camera and not sure what software to use to edit the pictures. I only want to be doing basic editing of things like light levels and colours and not like full on photoshopping. Any suggestions? I’m sure I’ve used Light Room in the past? I’ve got a MacBook Air as my...

The 'I work in I.T' thread

Exactly this. I studied physics at uni, then nuclear physics as a masters (I was told to be a real person and get a job and not do a PhD by my mum) but I haven’t done any physics for a long time, probably since 2016 when I left my fist job which was as a scientist. I used to be able to know some...

The 'I work in I.T' thread

The woman I work with is on her second can of Monster before lunch. We always have sweets in the office too, like the big cash and carry size tubs. We also hide them in our room as not everyone is allowed in there. Watching their faces as we go back to the other room with hand fulls of nice...

The 'I work in I.T' thread

What’s the point in having a student if they won’t make tea or coffee for you?! It’s basically slave labour…. They sound like a fun bunch of people that have been shielded from life. I think I may have lost my job if I had to work with them.

The 'I work in I.T' thread

I was a grad once, I want to say I wasn’t useless. But finding a non useless grad is impossible. I did a year in industry before going to uni and then worked there every summer at uni so I had some form of working experience. @botfch how did the placement student expect to make the tea and...

The 'I work in I.T' thread

Or when you get asked to look at CVs, recommend they don’t get through but the recruiter says “yeah we will have them”….but I found out they left their first grad scheme less than a year as it turns out they were let go due to performance problems and you want to employ them? Ok then. Half the...

    Norway 2025

Can confirm the baby is not coming with us! Haha. It will be just the two of us for this as you say want to do the things like that and make the most of it. Need to take a proper look at it but thinking 2026 sometime for it. We just wanted to know what was available for excursions to see what...

    Norway 2025

This looks amazing. Might have to pick your brains on this as we are wanting to do the same for our honeymoon. We got a P&O brochure to see what it was all about but couldn’t work it out as all that gave was a deck plan of the boats! We are wanting to do it in the winter when it’s more snowy but...

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

I’ve used the stuff in the past on several cars and parts and always came up good. Just couldn’t remember how far the small bottle went.

I want to get some GTechniq C4 to make the black platsics on the Defender back to black again. No idea how much I will need as I can't remember how far the 15ml bottle went the last time I had it. Need to cover the front light surrounds, grill and wing mirrors as a minimum. If it will cover the...

    Ph1 vs Ph2 Engine Loom

I remember when I did my Ph1 ITB conversion there was a bit of re-wiring in the ECU plug. I was using a GEN90 ECU though which apparently are for Ph2. All you need to do is swap a few wires around in the plug. A lot of it is detailed in my old project thread or HERE I assume as the ECU you are...

    Kit’s New Ph1 172

Reducing the collection, free up some time and money for the other cars I own. I won’t be buying your Ph1 sorry, I have a problem but not that much of one to need another that quickly!

I will try and keep the red barge out the way as I’m sure I won’t be the fastest in it. I’m looking forward to be able to drive it faster and harder than I can/allowed on the roads. Ironically it is the most powerful car I own…from new….210bhp back in 1989. Tempted to get a set of better brake...

I’ve used Gtechniq C5 and Gyeon Rim before. Both very good. The Gyeon stuff was meant to be rated to a higher temperature so I had the stuff in track wheels. I used the C5 stuff off a set of winter wheels this year and held up really well in the crap weather.

Has anyone rattle canned their front bumper?

I think I used at least three cans of colour and two lacquer.

Has anyone rattle canned their front bumper?

I rattle can’d the bumper on my Ph1. Does it look better than it did - yes. Could it be better without a proper respray - no. Do I regret doing it - no. I only did it as the whole bumper was like flat and faded and no amount of polish was going to get it back. Did a few coats of plastic...

    Experience with CHIPEX touch up

I've used the stuff in the past, very happy with the results. As Clio_fool has shown and said it is a lot better than leaving it untreated. I also went over it with a DA polisher and that helped. Another trick I have used is just get some paint mixed up as an aerosol and apply in the same way...

The 'I work in I.T' thread

I remember having to do this back in 2020 when it all kicked off for all our code base and repositories. Couldn’t have slave, master, black lists, white lists. Still have some of the words kicking about which is apparently ok now. And in a previous job we were the Image Analysis team so...

Ran out of wheel cleaner. Found some Autoglym Clean Wheels in the shed. Actually not that bad! Sprayed on, waited, jet washed off and all the dirt had collected nicely to be washed off. Granted the wheels have been coated in C5 and it was only light dirt but I was impressed for something found...

I’m seriously considering taking the E34 out in the morning session. It’s probably the only suitable working car I’ll have to take to a track day come July.
