ive just replaced my engine on 172, all back together now and I go to start it and it just revs really high but like someone was pumping the accelerator, so I turned it off checked for loose pipes etc everything seems to be fine? so i cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner go back to try it...

As above! I'm not skimping out i just want info on it. Do I have to change this when i do my cambelt water pump etc? If so why? Is it not just like a normal pulley? Why are these cars so bloody fiddly good job it gives me barrels of fun on the tracks. Cheers guys

Had a leak coming from what I thought was the rocker cover......... So stripped it all down and its solid so gave it a tap here and there it started to move next thing the cams are moving and there is defo no gasket there? have a made a big **** up here before I go any further? :mad:

Has anybody put electric steering on there 172? I only use as a track car and it just seems to get to hot to fast! It's had a new pump racing power steering fluid and still having same problem so was just a thought??

toxic fume monitoring warning light has come on but the car hasn't even moved??

As above ive found the relays on back of the uch and when i do get the lights to go out they dont work period then is there a way to turn it off without killing them all together? Ive put a sunstrip on and i dont think that helps it either! Thanks john :)

Ive already posted but got nowhere long story short put jump leads on wrong way and gained this fault. its had a new battery the new ecu uch key kit and still no joy im at my wits end with it now me and my friend been trying everything all night all fuses and relays seem fine just like its...

Seems I need a new ecu, with me having to replace it and the locks etc does it have to be a percific one or will any do? The car is a 03 172. If anyone can help with either info or a ecu would be much appreciated
