Hi i have a Clio ph1 1.2 and have acquired a cheap ph1 172 off a friend that needs belts doing. What I wanted to know is can I drop the engine and subframe from the 172 and simply bolt it up to the 1.2? Thanks

Yes standard seats are gone and replaced with buckets fixed to subframes to avoid use of runners. I'll give the tar a shot with a hair dryer lol

Hi all, I've gutted my 172 ph1 of pretty much everything apart from lower dash and those tar strips. Firstly how do I go about removing those strips? Secondly what else can I do for low cost to shed the cars weight? Thanks guys

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I am confused, all I need to buy is some 0gauge battery cable and run it direct from the positive bay terminal. Then Use the existing earth cable wherever I wish to locate the battery. Meaning I do not need to purchase a fuse, only the battery cable ?
