Sorted it!! ...asked on my own clio forum ...someone said to turn the car to when the warning lights come on ...leave it a min.. then try start it ....took a few turns ..but it started up ...took it a drive. Came back ..turned car off and put it back on..started first time ..twice!! :D :D

i recon the keys fine ..as well it opened the car lol .. tried the spare ...didnt start it either.

So ...could possibly be the TDC sensor then?

just went out and checked ...im guessing the immobiliser light is the flashing red one? ...if so it goes out when trying to crank it. ..What could it be then? ...TDC sensor?

its a mk2 ph2 ..04 plate 1.4 16v dynamique chris.

haha id be cheaper putting another engine in ...or changing the engine to carb'd lol ...im going to call renault in the morning..see what they say..obviously i want the cheap option.

rite well ..took it today to my MOT station which had the software to check the clio for errors. It turned out a coil error showed up ..but the mechanic said the cat was blocked. So we got it to my mates ...had new coils in the car anyway so replaced them all and it started no problems :)...

well ..im going to fone round local garages for prices of them connecting the car up to a "clip" machine to find out the error . I will report back with said error for all you mk2 owner incase this happens to yourselfs :)

how do i reset it? ...it wont start at all adam ..reseting an ecu will problably not sort it LOL

nope ..done the dash test ...no errors were shown..apart from engine light flashing. Dials werent flickering also ..no weird noise either

Hi folks I posted a few days ago about the engine light flashing. So i ordered new coils,put them in and the car wont start now. So i put old ones in and it refused to start aswell. So money well spent ...not! ..Its my sisters car im more suited to mk1 clios if im honest so mk2's are new to...

Hi folks ive been driving my sisters mk2 clio for a while now. Recently the engine light has come on and its developed a missfire. I changed the spark plugs in hope it was these. Im told its the coil by a few on other clio forums. I also tried out the pressing of the stalk button. It revealed...

Best bet for a ph3 is to change it to a ph1 front end...lower it 60mm on 13" or 14" wheels and have some fun in the twisties like i did :D
