did you or anyone figured it out?
I still haven’t..
No idea where goes the AFR controller 5V signal to the ecu and how to config it.
Also not for CAN or any other features this ECU have.
according to Gems, who I wrote with smone who tried to support my so crying email, begging for some basic...
Hi mate,
did you got the Wideband to work directly to the ECU?
Also.. I couldn’t figure the right PIN number for using external Wideband controller. Any thoughts how to set it up?
Well,
Got it sorted, she shave her first start after 7 years of build!
You were right, the crank sensor, although the wiring was reversed. Flipped them in the ecu junction, done.
I’m still having that issue with the immobillizer, the UCH doesn’t reserve the key identification. I need to press...
Well, the issue I’m dealing with, the red light flashing rapidly. Which means no key identification.
So I’m moving the key to second position, while pressing the key button.
The red light goes steady, and then off, which means you are good to go.
But I have zero readings from the crank sensor...
Hi, I’ve been there…
There is a connection loom, about 30/40 CM long, going from the accelerator pedal to the main loom. Just behind the brake pedal.
Take it out, clean the s**t out of it, and press the female pins gently with a sharp tool, to make the connection tight again.
So,
Got the chance to check it again today.
Pinout from PDL and throttle is as should be.
No shortage to the ground or to each other.
Resistance on all wires from end to end is 0.2 ohms.
Out of frustration, and mumbled curse Renault in my mind.
I connected the OEM ECU.
And it’s not flapping...
Thanks for your time man!
I’ll I did check resident/ shortage trough the throttle, but not the pedal. I’ll update!
Regarding the throttle body itself, they share the same part number, so I didn’t bothered 😆
The file you attached, i assume it’s the picture below?
Hi @incy-spider
thank you mate!
please see the Cal i got from EFI. ( i add with 7zip as i cant upload Cal file directly..)
regarding the engine spec.
its a complete 197 engine, including 197 vvt, cam sensor, coil on plug and so on.
nothing spatial.. its on my MK2 172.
Hi
Tough I should bump this thread.
few issues with the gen90
Now.. I’m not 100 % sure it’s the ECU fault. But close enough.
I have checked 3 times all the wiring from the accelerator pedal and the throttle body. It is all correct.
also, I can see the pedal respond working in the tuner pro...
i got my gen90 second hand, 5 years ago.
and it is the first time I'm trying to connect, and upload new calibration.
apparently, the previous owner locked it with password.
i did " clear calibration " in order to reset the ECU , and upload my calibration. and I'm keep getting this massage
what...
@Nokiai
Please update if you figure it out.
I do however, not sure if the gen90 will do a better job then a dedicated controller.
@scruffydubber
What firmware version you have on your ecu?
I'll check mine this week if it helps..
I did
Email ktec regards the firmware version, I'll update when I...
Ty so much @NorthloopCup
this is a true savior mate !
Chris found your old map, and will alter it to work with standard 197 engine, so I should be good with that I suppose .
If it's not too hussle to ask for the rest of the loom diagram/pinout, just to make sure I didn't missed out other...
Yes.. but I wasn't sure if that's the only signal that goes to the ECU.
I have a 197 oem diagram, and it looks like the sensor have 3 wires + after ignition and 2 wires to the ECU one signal, and the other "ECU earth".
From what I know, that ECU earth is +5 volt, not 12 right ?
I couldn't describe it better..
I have the "pro" software from ktec, and honestly, I never seen something so unorganized. Find what you want in there is impossible mission 🤣
I wish it was more like emerald software
