you can hear the fuel swishing about if you rock the car back and forth
i believe that you can get water sitting under the back seat squabs
and a common point for leakage is the bung next to the rear lights (lift the hatch and next the rear lights)

check the rubber boots are in place at the top and bottom of the springs, if these are removed they will make it lower.
If a garage has done the job its the sort of thing they may forget to put back on!
