I think I have it now anyway Mick have looked at a few pictures ext will see if she fires up tomorrow when I turn them round a couple turns.

Cheers mate, I understand they are held with that tool but my problem is with how they sit inside the engine they can go one of two ways? because of how the tool holds them horizontally
can anyone help or show me a pic of how the cams are meant to sit to be in time ?
Rebuilt a 182 engine but it's as if there is fast compression? leading me to believe I have the cams set wrong ?
