It was me, I noticed you but didn't get a chance to wave as I was concentrating on finding a gap in the traffic - it's a sod of a junction!.

I also had this problem, although the sensor was not to blame.
The issue was with conductors inside the wire to the sensor being damaged and giving an intermittent connection; which led to the engine stalling.
The solution to restart the car was always to move the connector back and forth...
I sometimes have a similar problem with my 182. The temp. gauge needle flicks between normal and cold as if theres some intermittent fault, with the result that the idling RPM jumps to 2,000.
