How much fuel in the tank/what sort of corners? There's a couple of corners (e.g. Church @thruxton) I've had fuel starvation on when down at ~ 1/3 tank.
For what it's worth, my GRAMS ones are still on and working ~2years later, no complaints! Saved the constant replacement / addition of bolts and cable ties to the OEM mounts I'd done for years and I certainly wouldn't go back! Exhaust is positioned a lot nicer too and stays there, even with...
This is the key thing for me, as you get faster you start to ruin the sidewalls of road tyres and start to take chunks out of the tread. It becomes false economy to replace your road tyres with 4/5mm left on them because you've got chunks of tread missing where they've overheated.
Also, it...
The new ones have the bad reviews AD08RS rather than the older AD08R. I have the RS on some wheels but yet to try in anger. I guess I'll see first hand in August!
Yep! All looking good mate after ~ 400 miles. @dCi_rep you deserve a pint!
The washer has pulled very tight onto the insert (as expected) but all held together with no issues!
Noise and vibration levels seem good - better than cable tied bolts anyway! Enjoying my exhaust sound again. Really...
From my experience PS3s are noticeably better on the road. Anything else is just a cost choice. Rank of my personal preference.
PS3 (XL) - Best all round tyre. Stiffer sidewalls. Good wet and dry grip.
AD08r - obviously better performance e.g. for track but not really noticeable on road Vs...
Well so far so good (10miles)!! Fantastic suggestion. M5 bolt with a penny washer. I'm not sure it actually needs the cable ties as the press fit tapers that way (i.e. with the force) so would probably stay, but not gonna risk testing it without.
Despite it looking quite obvious on that...
So I'm having a bit of a nightmare with these exhaust hangar inserts and wonder if you've got any thoughts/advice on how to fix? Or at least it might be some use for development.
I have 182 Janspeed system. One mount sits in fine (driver's side) the other (passenger side) just will not work...
Hi guys,
I've currently got a silenced (Sports) Janspeed exhaust fitted to my 182 and was considering swapping to the straight through pipe (unsilenced/supersports).
Does anyone have direct experience of the two noise wise? Preference? Particularly thinking of level of droning on 80mph...
That looks like a Power Magic Pro. It looks at the voltage of the car battery for Sat Navs hardwired in (make shift parking mode).
Normally a cigarette lighter socket plugged into it, but I'm guessing that's missing.
Just a bad photo angle. (It's a huge arch gap.)
Are you even looking at the photos? Both OP and mine are quite clearly cuts in the tread. Not pick-up lol
I semi-regularly got this with PS3s and have just had it on my ad08rs (see pic) after Thruxton. I've always aired on the side of caution and binned them / put them on a spare wheel.
Just overheating? I was thinking this until it happened with AD08rs (pic), and also happened to the (mainly)...
My driver's side window has stuck (luckily) in the closed position following a big clunk. Presume one of the clips has broken on the regulator.
Anyone know whether the regulator is common to the standard MK ii clios? (i.e. can I go and get a replacement one from the scrappy?)
Is there a guide...
Very easy. Takes about 15mins. Guide in the guides section.
Make sure you find both screws below the cruise control buttons (One is completely hidden.)
I really like my Janspeed, better than my friends scorpion, but I guess that's all a matter of personal preference. (I have the silenced version.)
And it's on standard hangers, but the rubber breaks away quite quick (same happens for the scorpion). Some bolts and cable ties inside the hanger...
