Rear dampers are just standard ones, it handled well on the 800miles I did before the engine blew!
they are good vehicles, the handling feels like a slightly too heavy clio
Cheers Alexandre
quick update as I forgot about this!
no matter what combination I tried, I couldn’t stop it scrubbing under heavy load. I’ve ended up getting a set of BC coilovers and adjustable top mounts which are great.
The current problem is that Rodney tried to make a run for it while...
Cheers for the input guys,
mover the next week or so I’ll try the following
roll the arches
Refit the cup shocks
Fit camber bolts
Refit solid top mounts
Hopefully this should all work out!
I’ll update the thread when I’m done
cheers again guys 👍😜
Cheers Brigsy, I was hoping you’d spot this one, I loved reading through your build thread mate.
I’ll give that a go mate, what ET wheels were you using?
ET35 is too high, 38 is on the margin and 43 seems to fit much nicer up front
cheers, mine is going in to Alex soon for a turbo conversion, he alsoreplied to this thread on Facebook saying that someone got custom springs, I‘lol probably go down that route as it’s going in to him next month anyway
Thanks
I’m having a bit of trouble with the front suspension on my kangoo172.
the cup shocks and springs I had on it were too low and caused some scrubbing on track.
the Koni struts and stiffer springs I replaced them with are even lower, I should have checked before purchasing!
as the kangoo strut...
Just replaced the bracket, luckily the alternator stayed in position as it was done up so tight.
I went with the cup alternator set up in the end, no need to worry about it then
Excellent build thread mate,
You could well be my saviour here @H2MRK
I know this is a couple of years ago but I’m struggling to get the same 1mm pitch countersunk screws pictured here. I’ve emailed mark fish, no response yet, but it’s only been a day or 2.
Do you know of any other suppliers...
Unfortunately my car’s not going to be ready in time for Donny on Wednesday so my ticket is up for sale.
£200 (£50 of sale price)
The day is now fully booked
MSVT Event - Wednesday 24 June 2020 | General Track Day | Donington Park National Circuit
evening all,
I’ve removed the power steering, AC and tensioner from the aux belt set up on my 172 track car.
My new setup has the belt running over the top of the pully like picture 1 (not my car)
The origional setup was with the belt running under the pully like in picture 2 (also not mine)...
evening all,
Anyone know where I can buy the oil breather gasket (just below the inlet manifold)
I can find it as part of a pack, but they're £60+
Cheers,
Tim
