I passed a Toyota supra yesterday, doubt it was a 2jz-GTE engine one but a supra all the same. Couldn't get a pic as was driving but looked like it had been sat and not looked after as it was covered in leaves and mud etc from trees. Such a shame as these cars are becoming rarer. Hopefully it...
All you can do is learn from it. The problem is most of us will buy a car like this with our hearts and not our heads. We arn't sales people or procurement specialists, just want our toys lol.
I bought my black 172 off a guy on Auto trader. Lovely guy, had a 6 month old child, wife was lovely. Car looked mint bar and drove fine. He said it had a service history and tons of receipts. He also said the only reason I'm selling is because i have a new job.... sounded legit right?
Agreed a...
Lol! that is insane! a rocket! the car stock is a nippy bugger, that is nuts though.
Noted however the only problem with the Monza is that its not stainless steel and the little valve thing sticks in time? which would be super annoying.
I think the more important question would be why lol
160-170 is fun and cheap but 250-300 might as well pump that koney
I agree, plans for my abarth is a remap to 170bhp, essesse air filter and the bombardier exhaust. Everything else i'll leave as is.
Basically yes. From 135 a remap and better air filter alone can see you to 160-170bhp.
Exhaust for noise and pops and bangs (no remap needed).
Bigger turbo, intercooler, downpipe and better injector's then 250bhp is possible.
300bhp is possible but not sure on reliability?!??
Its why i ended up with one as a daily. The bombardier stainless steel exhaust will set you back about £240! Loads of parts available as the essesse and other models share many common parts (especially the engines).
I wouldn't say its a head turner, but fellow petrol heads love to talk about them.
I have a 13 plate 135bhp standard Abarth that I drive daily - use to drive my 172 but got a bit much when i changed the suspension - made it hard to drive etc.
The Abarth is cracking! i love it, good mpg, fun when you put your foot down and a great B road blaster. I'm quite a big guy 5' 11" and...
This is a great thread! Perfect as I've come to path in my cars life where i would like to do some mods to the 172 to keep it "nice".
Group N timing sounds very interesting as I have to do belts shortly. Does anyone know anywhere south of London that does this or is a trip to EFI-Parts worth it?
Hi All, I'm Chris and i'm going to try and clean up my black Clio RS 172, it's a cracking car but needs a ton of tlc.
My aims of the project is to clean it up, improve it (to a degree) and more importantly enjoy and learn working on my RS 172. I've never worked on a car before so i'm in for a...
Hi guys,
Since taking my 172 off the road last October I've finally got round to taking it apart.
Took the front bumper off yesterday and remembered that the ?undertray? Is broke. Any idea what this is called and where it should connect to? In the 3 years I've owned it's always been broke so...
