I’d say the very first thing to do is take the side skirt off, get a screw driver and start seeing what’s solid and what isn’t.
My ph1 went from looking fine from the outside. Not a single bubble of rust.
To a tiny hole about the size of a 5 pence piece which turned into this.
Took the...
If the rear end is bouncing about usually it's the rear dampers have gone bad, if keeping it as a road car, a fresh set of cup dampers all around on my old ph1 did wonders. A fresh set of tires wouldn't be a bad idea either if they're old and the car has been sat for a while.
Might be worth...
Had a slow wonder round. Some nice things out today.
Then there’s this absolute whopper. Usually 4 mismatched budget tyres and m4s etc is the go to. But the state of these on a cayman gts is ridiculous.
the reservoir was full and couldn't see or feel any leaks. My thought air is getting into the system somehow.
The garage has said its the clutch but don't want her to pay to have it changed and still not fix the problem.
forgot to mention clutch pedal felt horrendous at first, had no weight to it and was slowish to return after driving seemed to firm up a little but was still slow to return
so my friend has a 2016 ds3 one day when driving it just wouldn't go into gear and would just grind. I went and had a look for her ( no pictures) and when it isn't running it goes into gear fine but with the engine running it doesn't. I started it in gear to move it for her and within one...
just another area of caution is be careful placing the tripod bearings into the cup in the gearbox. I had one fall apart leaving the needle bearings in the gearbox. That was a fun day
so with that much power and weight reduction sorted the next thing is to look at suspension, i've not seen the eibach adjustable dampers but if you like them and they're stiff enough for you leave them be, if not a good set of coilovers from ast, avo, bc racing. look at combing this with a roll...
Does anybody have a list of the size of nuts and bolts for the northloop roll centre kit, im away from the car so can't measure them but want to order a fresh set. cheers

I'm not sure if there's anything similar out there these days but I have this in the boot of the Clio and it's great, much much better than a Under seat sub, but being only 2 inches tall you really don't loose any boot...
I was changing over to roll centre hubs and dealing with a siezed driveshaft managed to pull the driveshaft out the gearbox. Oil everywhere. Luckily it was on my brother's drive. Everytime I went round you could still smell it. He's moved on and now just his ex there. Couldn't have done it to a...
Finally found some time to clean the ph1 front bumpers needs paint and theres a few scratches and dings but not looking too bad for 21 years and 142k miles.
Got the Aircon regassed in the ph1 a couple of weeks ago only for the throttle cable to snap just before this weather. So had the cup with no ac today. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be once on the move.
