I think you're right mate.
It's a shame as I quite liked the stock look. I already have an aux input into back of standard unit using a magic box that uses the optional cd changer input.
Bloody good point.
I just read that the front door speakers are connected to same output as tweeters apparently.
So I'm thinking the rear output is bad on head unit most likely.
It sounds pretty good with just front speakers going so I may just leave as is. Would have been nice to have a bit...
It's like the rears are connected to same outputs as the tweeters or something.
Maybe the output for my rears is just bad. Head unit is 20 years old now TBF.
I used JBL stage 2 524 coaxial speakers with cable adapters and they sound great up front.
I seem to have a much lower output on my rear speakers for some reason.
Wondering if an aftermarket head unit would solve that issue.
I've got the standard 182ff cabasse head unit ATM.
I installed some half decent JBL speakers up front and they sound great compared to originals. Very happy with the sound apart from door rattles....
So then I installed a second pair in the rear of the car and they sounded like garbage. (I have original head unit and used the settings to only...
Crank position sensor on top of gearbox was an issue for me a couple of times.
Bolts only became the tiniest bit loose and it wouldn't start. Then when engine cooled off it did.
I also had an earth strap issue on another Clio.
I'd give me left testicle for a ramp. Those little hydraulic floor ramps look good, but I've got nowhere to keep em unfortunately.
Maybe I won't bother fitting the braided lines. Juice not worth the squeeze. I've already done a whole suspension refresh on the old girl. Can't be arsed with...
How much difference do the braided lines make? Got some myself but can't be arsed to fit em!
Well done doing the work yourself fella. I'm about to do a coolant flush myself.
I sent those Gaz mounts back, didn't even try fitting em.
Just fitted some rubber rings under top mount caps, removes all that slack. Haven't driven car yet though...
I've got 1 set of what I believe is the original 182 springs and a set of eibach sportline springs which have been sitting around for years.
Also have 2 sets of front dampers. 1 pair is a 172 cup set with smaller hole spacing and other is the original 182 non cup dampers I think.
Are these of...
I've got one of those little magic boxes with aux input that tricks the standard head unit into thinking there's a cd changer attached.
Can't get more OEM than that.
A nice Blaupunkt would sound better however.
Go full chav and get a Sony Xplode.
My silver caps don't quite match wheels, but close enough for me.
If I was to do again I would get a paint can matched to the wheels colour and spray caps with chrome Renault badges removed.
Then put Renault badges back on caps and glue onto speedline caps.
You'd still have the ugly lip...
Got her running again boys.
Only did injector no. 3. Took less than an hour I think.
Sods law another one will die soon, but it is a pretty easy job so not that worried.
I'm pretty impressed that the cars ECU knew there was an injector issue months ago. Won't leave so long to diagnose next...
I think last owner may have had an aftermarket air filter fitted at one point.
It's always had standard air box with a ktec mesh filter since I've owned it.
I won't worry about it then. Cheers for advice boy's.
Maybe when I get the slag running right I'll go to the clio meet up next year...
So Chloe's not well at all it seems.
Started today and she sounded super rough, was so bad I thought It was an exhaust problem at first.
Took to my local garage and it seems to be the engine misfiring.
Here's what my Bluetooth scanner picked up.
