Not a clio but my Transit Mk7 on a 2010 plate rolled over 200k at the weekend, only major component failure was the gearbox (diff bearings) about 2 years ago.
Ours creaks a bit as well but been through it from top to bottom and cant find where. iot s brand new rack all new bushes etc etc so have put it down to "settling in" it does seem to be reducing with every track day we do......
spray bottle full of unleaded, spray it up the exhaust before you set out to micky d's, don't forget to cover yourself as well then when it all goes horribly wrong you wont be around to be embarrassed and guaranteed your fiery demise will make it onto youtube, double winner
Managed to pick up a spare rear beam to which we welded the PMS rear beam bracing kit, well as much of it as we could bearing in mind we need to retain the spring perch fro the BC rear setup.
Had it blasted down the road so it was clean to weld to and took a coat of red oxide like a champ...
Dont know whats going on with the pics as i have now tried several machines with different browsers and all have been good................. anyway ill persevere!

Managed to get a set of roll centre correction uprights of Mark (NorthLoopcup)

Decided to use a pair of knackered old headlamp units to make some fake headlamps....yes I know.....
Cut the back out just leaving the front plastic and enough of the frame to still allow it to be bolted on.
Coat of Plastic Primer was next
Followed by moondust silver...
Next job was to finish the front caliper refurb using the rebuild kit from Bigg Red which we also decided should include new pistons. not a difficult job but the dust seal is a bit of a pig.
Finished job.
No updates for a while as I have been too busy working and any spare time has been spent on Nicole. finally got some free time so the updates will be coming thick and fast.

apologies for the duplication but some of the pics aren't showing for me have now discovered they wont show in ie 11 but do show in chrome!! very random. Anyone else have this issue?
Poor old Nicole has led a hard life it would seem and the abortion that was the current subframe bolt setup was just awful, low grade bolts with steel nylocs tacked to hacked up washers so it was off to the parts desk again for a full set of the original front subframe bolts and the funky...

Picked up the last of the powder coating amongst which were the front wishbones that look better than new.

Dave spent the day today removing the sound deadening from the interior, a job i was more than happy to let him get on with!
I arrived late afternoon after finishing work early and managed to get the AC delete kit from PM fitted.
Work on the engine is pretty much at a standstill now...

Cheers, he's not just a mate he owns 50% of Nicole and our ex race car. He's up the unit all day Tuesday so is going to be removing the sound deadening in preparation for applying the Raptor bed liner to the interior so the next couple of updates should be interior work
Soooooooo have had a couple more sessions on the car, yesterday Dave came over so we made good progress with 2 of us.
The new cam wheel locking tool turned up which meant we could finally get the cam belt finished. We had to reset the first time as after a couple of rev the timing had wandered...
Made a bit more progress last night. Got the cam wheels off and the rocker cover as it was weeping a bit.
Took a good hour with gun wash to get it nice and clean then masked it up and gave it a light coat of etch primer.
Then a couple of coats of orange
Fitted new cam front oil seals...
Dave and I spent some time in the Workshop on Saturday and managed to get the engine on the stand and start to take a look. Sump off first and although not spotless I have seen much worse.
Fitted a set of ARP gig end bolts whilst we were at it as it seemed rude not to. For now we want to...
ECP are ok you just have to check what make there selling you, pretty sure they do sell genuine Valeo but you would probably have to specify it when ordering

Just picked up the first lot of parts from the powder coaters, pants photos taken in the back of the van and didn't want to unwrap them as I still need to get them to the workshop without damaging them but you get the idea :-)
