So, bit of a sad update to this thread. Today I sold her! I've enjoyed the fun with the car, but actually having the time to drive the car at the limit where it wants to be just isn't happening. Spritely petrol engine isn't the one in traffic or on the motorway which unfortunately is where I...
I used ShineMate pads on a rotary. DA will be fine. I didn't compound it right back, but in places where I needed to I used G3.
I'd recommend either 3M as oVerboost said, or Koch Chemie. Both work well.
I found the paint on my BG 182 rock hard beyond belief... Much harder than German stuff I've done before. It'll need a serious compounding first and maybe one but probably two refining stages.

Good thread Rojer! Missed this (should really look through the forum more thoroughly).

You could use a leather dye like this:

I've used it succesfully to recolour seat bolsters that have...
So not much to update with other than the new tyres seem great value and I'm much happier with the car day to day with the standard airbox in place.
Managed to go out for a drive with some friends from north of Hove over to Beachy Head on the back roads. Was great fun.
Want to get the...
So I adjusted the brake light switch yesterday and it's sorted this now.
ABS rings will need replacing in the near future though, or a better clean up than what I gave them last time.
So quick update. The lambda issue isn't coming back now I've shelled out for and had a new sensor delivered, sods law. Never mind.
Loads happier with the car after fitting the induction kit. Much more enjoyable to be in.
Had a pair of new tyres fitted, Avon ZV7. Seem good so far! Haven't had...
Front rings are a bit rusty but I've cleaned them up best I can without getting a grinder in there to do them more. Rears look new, changed before my ownership.
Potential earth problem I guess. Yes have ramp access, I could check continuity across each wheel sensor. Don't they just put out a...

So I've had ABS judder at low speed in the 182 pretty much since I've had it. Thought it'd be the usual suspect of dodgy rings - nope all OK. Rears look new too.
Had a fault code of brake switch, so I put a new one in yesterday. However it still exists.
Today after work I started the car and...
Weekend30 works nearly every weekend. Don't think it's working in injectors though.
Go to CarParts4Less, it's Euro's sister company (online trading only). £41.94 with free delivery.
Yeah I agree with needing good tyres - hence not going silly cheap. I'll see if I can justify more expensive ones, but I'm in fairly urgent need of a pair of tyres and with it being just after Christmas the current wallet situation isn't fantastic.
Currently upfront is Avon's as put on by the PO...
Good to know, might look into solution finish. I've considered sealants before - had some contact with them in the past but used what I've had always (was given the Glasur, it was laying around at work at the time).
Lambda sensor light hasn't been coming on of late - got one coming though...
PS3's still work out significantly dearer even through Camskill - £33/tyre dearer than Eagle F1's. Are they really /that/ much better than everything else to warrant it? I've driven on them before on Porsche's but struggling to see how they'll be so much better than V12s/Eagle's and the like...
Could put it like that, they're another £40/corner more than the Avon's.
Fitted:
ZV7's = £64 each
Eagle F1 Assy2 = £79
PS3 = £104
The Eagle F1's I can probably justify, but the PS3's are still an extra £25 more than that.
Was thinking rainsports, but can't seem to find any locally at a good...
Thanks!
Not used a longer term sealant, no. Apart from the G5 on the windows, which I'm MASSIVELY impressed with, I might treat myself to Gtechniq's paint sealants...
Need a set of rear tyres for the 182, and think I've narrowed it down to Avon ZV7's as they're easily available locally and seem the best value for money fitted.
Question is, should I get them in XL or not? Wondering if I'll need the stiffer sidewall...
Cheers

Thanks @td_dan. It's a good over on there, I miss having my old 306.
@magic354 some comparison photos. You'll see it's not perfect. The after photo is before refining.
Well impressed with the AF Revive though, didn't realise it beads like it does!
I did have a go with a bit of compounding but gave up as it was taking so long and getting everywhere (only had the old school G3 polish, thought I had some decent stuff at the folks place but turns out not). In the end, I used the old school G3 with some of the newer G3 paint renovator on a...
Thanks @magic354. Took long enough!
Light is the post cat sensor playing up. Odd as it's only since I've done the plugs. Might not have helped giving it a proper hard drive on the way home after Christmas. Gonna get it swapped out, hopefully it'll sort it. Thanks @stevem42 for reading the codes...
Apart from the obvious places, is there anywhere I should look to get a lambda sensor from?
Also, which fitment is correct? I assume the wire lengths are different for the pre and post catalyst, hence the different fitments. If someone who knows could clear up which one is which as online...
So after driving back home yesterday I have a mysterious flashing engine check light. Misfire of sorts it seems. I've checked the coil leads in turn with it running and taking them off one by one makes it misfire badly, same with the injectors. There isn't one that seems to make little...
Thanks for the words all!
96k miles. Bonnet is well stone chipped and could do with a paint but otherwise she's clean. Also needs melted steering wheel doing and a new set of mats to make it A1, all in good time. Wanted to sort the steering wheel but all in good time.
