Hi guys, sorry haven't been intentionally ignoring you, not been very well tbh. All good now and Merry Christmas to you all! Won't be doing anything now until I return to work in the new year, but then I will get one (the 'prototype') together for @Davyy, see how long it takes and ease of doing...
No problem mate, I'll get on it. Yeah maybe worth thinking about but I'm not out to make money from it, just happy to help a few people out on here. :wink: Might not be a quick turn around though as I'll have to do them in my lunch breaks next week. I'll try and sort them before Christmas, but...
My pleasure @mossyv6. I'm in the process of fabricating a bracket up for @Davyy, just need to whip mine off my car for exact measurements and to offer up where the twist is etc. @Potatoes @Chris_Beer do you want me to knock up another 2 whilst I do it??
@Niall97 @mossyv6 @Potatoes
All posted off for you chaps via Hermes, may arrive before the weekend depending where you are. £2.70 each on the postage to d.riggs@hotmail.co.uk if you don't mind.
Hopefully they should get you all sorted. :up:
No worries chaps, glad I can help! Will post them off tonight for you.
@mossyv6 @Niall97
@Davyy I'll start looking at making you up a bracket for your kit mate, shouldn't be a problem but might take a while as I'll be completely fabricating it and will need to get the measurements from my car...
No problem mate. No welding required as they come with the stud already on. If you ping me your address I'll post you one. I'll let you know what postage cost and if you cover that, it's cool by me.
Wouldn't be too hard to make one up out of a strip of aluminium or mild steel, round the corners, drill a 6.5mm hole either end and put a 90 degree return one end, job done. I could probably knock you one up if you haven't got the means to do it.
Same goes for you too @mossyv6 :up:
Yeah just a normal jubilee clip but with an M6 stud spot welded to it. Anyone know off hand what the outside diameter of the induction pipe is? I'll grab a few from work today.
Let me know the size of the jubilee clip or the outside diameter of the hose and I'll get you one from work, for just cost of postage mate, be a decent high-torque st/st one too. Seeing as it's nearly Christmas! :wink: :up:
Going away today and I started reading this thread on the way to the terminal, then some bright spark decided to wind me up, but I was feeling way too drained, so luckily no one was charged, with assault on a battery...........
So 2 hours later, this was the end result! A complete transformation really, I couldn't be happier with the results and a big thank you to my mate for his help and expertise! We even managed to get the light washers out, bung up the pipework and blank the holes. Only went for some 25mm grommets...
So as I'd promised myself yesterday, today I was up early and the mini project was to smarten up the front end of the car and under the bonnet. The front grille had previously been painted, badly, and the headlight washers were loose, leaking and p***ing me off, so they had to go! Also the...
So the long awaited battery/induction cover finally got fitted today, love it! Just had to trim 10mm off the induction hose at the throttle body end, and fitted perfectly. Really nice bit of kit! Only thing is now the rest of the bay lets it down somewhat, so............ tomorrow's mission is to...
