I had this problem exactly a year ago. I couldn't find an aftermarket sensor any where. For a clio 182 cup pack. I think they use different abs sensors for the esp? I managed to get a genuine one from renault though. Part number R6000073528 for the rear righr. Maybe the last one! I hope the...
The column is probably 360 degrees out of centre. Just disconnect the column and with snap on reading steering angle position turn steering wheel until you get zero degrees, the steering wheel should now be central. With wheels dead centre reconnect the column
Well I Say nothing needs doing. An inspection to find the cause of the catching maybe necessary. A new bump stop would also be a good idea especially if you want to track the car
Shocks don't leak oil up to the top mounts. They drop down onto the struts. That looks like someone has lubricated the top mounts as you have spherical ball top mounts fitted. Nothing needs doing at all
Swinging the alternator down like I suggested won't give much purchase on the water pump either. Your top photo looks the best way to go without buying custom parts.
What you can do is modify the original alternator bracket by chopping bits off. With enough modification you will be able to swing the original alternator right down. Then can a bracket to allow you to adjust the tension. You will probably need to also make a notch in the crossmember. I did. I...
Take the head off and replace any valve that's hit a piston. You'll see the witness marks. Even if they look straight always replace a valve that's hit. Check the guides carefully to see if any are cracked or worn. Should be the best solution.
No worries. Most garages would have a scanner that can talk to your car. For instance I would plug it in and check it for £10/15 and find out what's wrong. Doesn't have to be a main dealer. I'm just too far away for you though.
Could be the car had learnt new fuel trims as there was an air leak. So try disconnecting battery overnight. Reconnect in morning and drive it. You may need to drive it for a while to relearn the fuel trims. If that is in fact your problem. But it's a free try.
Try disconnecting the tailgate lock switch. That worked for me. Same problem. If you turn the ignition on and look at the door open light. When I had the tailgate shut and wiggled the tailgate about the light was flickering on and off.
Front bumper is fairly easy to remove. Front inner arches off or loosen enough from the bumper. Two bolts holding the corner of the bumpers on (they can rust on though that's the only potential problem) splash shields off underneath and some clips under the bonnet holding the grill section on...
There's so many 1*2 that are cheap enough for anyone to buy and turn into track cars that will kill a lot of them off or theyll just get scrapped. Give it another 10 years and any of the good ones left will be worth money. That will also push the rough examples up too. Years ago when mk 2...
The problem is you don't know if the one your car came with is the correct one. Someone who knows the part numbers better should help. Or phone a renault dealer and ask what the ecu part number is
Don't use super sealant. When I re gas a car with this stuff in it blocks my aircon recharging machine up and I have to strip my machine apart to clear the blockage. Now I won't 're gas a machine that's had that stuff put in. Find the leak and fix it
Check everything in the loom is plugged into the right thing. Ive seen ecu burned out (other make cars) because some things have exactly the same connector and they were plugged in the wrong way around
Doing a quick Google of those ecu part numbers and it comes up as a clio /r19 1.8 16v ecu. And your board hasn't been socketed to enable eeprom swaps. So I'd say that looks like a standard ecu
Could be the other pretensioner has gone off. Check the height of the seat belt stalks compared to each other. On renaults it's common for diagnostic machines to report the wrong side has failed due to they think it's a left hand drive. A minor impact which only set off a pretensioner won't need...
