So here's the pics, old leaking slave on the left, brake fluid in my gearbox and old clutch on the left too. I know clutch doesn't look too bad but thought may aswell get the both done
it may of just worked? only did a mile and a half but it didn't hesitate at all and there was only one slight bump going from 3rd to 4th the first time i did it, the second time it was fine. Ill be doing a few hundred miles tomorrow so that'll get it all warmed up and broken in. Either way...
No he did mention it to me, said it might take a bit of pumping the clutch, said it took him over an hour to bleed it. Sure it's just a matter of putting some milage on it to get used to it. I've seen lots of before and after pictures of the old and new bits and it seems he did a proper job...
I'm praying the worst it will be is a slave cylinder and clutch with new gearbox oil. I can just about cover that. Gearbox rebuild is not gonna be welcome news
Oh well I've emailed the dealer, see what they say. I'm having a decent garage look at it tomorrow to give me an idea what I'm looking at either way. Cheers for the advice
So a few days ago my 200 had me stranded in a car park after id reversed out of my space. It wouldnt select 1st, or anything else i tried for a minute or so until a few pumps of the clutch one finally worked. Then it drove fine for a the next three days going a few hundred miles, then this...
I didn't use anything expensive or special, just basic stuff off Amazon and from Halfords. 2 buckets, microfibre towels and a washmit from Halfords, Simoniz shampoo and carnuba wax to wash it, Simoniz ultracare alloy cleaner for the wheels, a £5 clay bar off Amazon and some original hard shell...
