You'll be sat for quite some time in McD's!! The download isn't as big as the amount of space that you need to leave - if that makes sense. It needs that amount of space to "do" the installation, but it won't use that much of your home BB.
Not updated to 8.1 yet, but tbh I have basically no...
Probably going to buy an air, first iPad! Never really felt the need before, but just kind of fancy one now. Not planning on putting any music on it, so is the general view that 16gb will be ok?? Already have a 32gb 5S, hence all music will stay on that. Not really sure what else I'd need to...
Worth a go, the place I got mine from claimed they worked with iOS 7 - like I say, thek "kind of" do, but not perfect by any means. There are some out there that do - a work colleague of mine bought some in China and they seem fine, kind of handy that he's back out there at the moment.
I tried a couple of adaptors, and tbh they were about as much use as a doorstop. Didn't charge, didn't play music! Although randomly they did let you take photos off. Bought an apple one for the car and of course it's perfect.
For leads, I got some off ebay. They flag up the fault that...
I've just gone from 4S to 5S. When I upgraded to iOS7 on the 4S, battery life went down for sure - same with other guys in my office at work. However, battery life on 5S today has been better than the 4S was with iOS6.
I'm impressed overall with the phone.
Re: iOS 6.1 is out
I wish I hadn't bothered!! As i posted on the first page, i've had the 3G issues - on the plus side, it is nice to know that it is a known issue - I just want them to pull their fingers out and fix it. It does seem like it's somehow linked to carriers though, as it's only...
Re: iOS 6.1 is out
Has anyone had any problems with 3G since update?
My 4S seems to have very intermittent data since update. It shows 3G just as it usually would, but often sits there as if it has no real coverage, then suddenly springs into life.
It will be interesting to see how business receives it. Certainly the company I work for (large multinational) didn't even entertain Windows Vista (wise move!) and is only now starting to use Windows 7 - and I think that's only because MS is switching off support for XP. The problem we see is...
6.0.2 is only for the iPhone 5 I believe.
i have a 4s, had it since launch day. No issues at all, and it's currently running 6.0.1.
I suspect if there is an issue, it's a combination of hardware and software - same with my 3GS. Worked perfectly on iOS3.xx but as soon as it was updated fo...
Does anyone have one of the new sky "hub" routers?? Has anyone changed to this from one of the older ones and is it any better??
My old sagem one is fine if you're close to it, but when I'm upstairs the connection is very flakey, and often even if it claims it's connected, you can't actually...
I used turn by turn yesterday and it was good tbh. On a 120 mile journey I think it used 1.5MB of data - so in reality, nothing. It also got me to where I need to go within about 100 yards - can't complain at that tbh.
Yes, in the iMessage settings, you have it set to send via your iCloud account. You need to go into it, and from inside there you need to log out of icloud. I had this, as did a friend of mine.
Re: iPhone 5. Pre-Orders 14/9. Ships 21/9. iOS6 19/9
I don't really use maps so I'm not that bothered. I do find it quite funny though that I apparently have a petrol station just behind our house, although last time I looked it was a corner shop!!
Someone was talking about strange behaviour...
At the end of the day, Samsung knew they were copying Apple, and they knew it was patented (google pointed it out to them). So let's not forget that there was a real easy way round it for them - all they had to do was apply for licence to use it, like Microsoft have.
They decided not to, they...
Yes, that's why I was interested in the suggestion that was made earlier that they don't bother checking if you are actually a student. I used to be one, just aren't now.
Any "non students" used that link to purchase recently?? Got to be worth saving circa 15% where possible!! I could possibly get someone to order for me, but would be easier if I can do myself!
The latest vodafone iphone contracts give you 25mb of data per day while you are abroad. I've found this very useful, as basically it means that I can continue to use my iphone just as I would at home.
Re: iPhone 5 this October??
I know personally I'm not bothered about massive screens. Slightly bigger is fine, but if I wanted a big screen to regularly watch video on, I'd buy an iPad. This looks to go with the rumors that have been out there that they would keep the width of screen the same...
Re: iPhone 5 this October??
I think it's highly likely that they'll go with smaller dock connector. From a users point of view, of course it would be an inconvenience, but it's typical apple. They are trying to make things smaller if possible, so that there is more space for "electronic...
Yeah last set of rumors on Macrumors was that it would be thinner, but that it would effectively be too thin to have an Ethernet port, and hence users would need to use a USB adaptor.
From memory, i don't think the it's possible to install the iCloud control panel onto Windows XP (in theory). However, it is possible to install it!! You just need to modify a line in one of the files. I can't remember what it is that you have to modify, but I did find it on google. However...
