Bilstein B14’s are the best coilovers for the road. Fact. They drive absolutely lush on them.
A bit too soft for hill climbs I’d imagine but if you drive a lot on the road, definitely have a go in someone’s car with them on. 👌🏽
My last 182 was a flipper so I didn’t want to invest in coilovers...
My mate Jez is coming and bringing his van.
Very good guy, I met him through @Horatio McAllister. He also knows Cub, Kyle, Tom, Jonnio and William. 100% trustworthy!
He’s sent me the below - I’d also like to add that he can do any key for any car.
🚗🔑 SmartKey Automotive at Clio Sport...
Yeah to be fair that’s school boy. Anything ignition related just go OEM. Can always tell when they turn up from the local motor factors in a box from 2004 with loads of oily finger prints on it and witness marks where it’s been fitted before. “It matches our part number” well I bet it f**king...
I had very similar issues with a 182 years ago. Proper random electrical faults and bills for thousands in replaced parts. Stuck in limp mode.
Guy had enough and sold it to me.
Pulled the bulkhead Loom connector apart and it was a right mess In there. Melted wires galore.
Once repaired, it...
Don’t try any DIY mate. You need to get it hot enough to be bendable but not hot enough to compromise the strength of the wheel.
Unless your day job involves this sort of work? (Apologies, no idea what you do. I’m making assumptions)
If it’s just a standard generic wheel, is a used one from a...
They went all out on that name didn’t they! 👌🏽😂
Do they have social media for some pics?
Honestly, if they’re doing what I assume they’re doing, I think £1100 is a really good price.
A days’ work; £200
Ramp, electric, rates, waste, tax, Dry ice machine, dry ice, tools, insurance…
The machines and the ‘stuff’ are mental money.
I actually think £1100 is quite good??
Where was that? I want my Orion doing.
Lovely!
I find the spec on these is what makes me keep them long term. I’ve had so many BM’s where they’ve been poverty spec and I just don’t gel with them..
great purchase. 👌🏽
Your bonnet switch is probably faulty so someone has disconnected it. As per Matt’s pic above, whip it out (big boy!) and see if it’s connected or not.
In that case get a Pioneer Bluetooth mechless unit. They’re about the simplest to use. Some manufacturers make things impossible to use when you’re driving!
But then get yourself a wiring adapter for the hand controls and you’re golden.
(If you’re still on standard speakers they will last...
A fiesta ST makes a better daily and is (much) less costly to fix when it breaks.
197/200’s handle the best though. They’re epic!
Just not sure I’d want the repair costs of the Renaults now.
