Im driving a mint Mk2 Astra GTE, only has 37k on the clock. Completly genuine. Sold the Cup to save stupid amounts of money for my Caterham/Robinhood Hyabusa conversion.
Been without her now for about nearly 2 months and its true what they say. No not that your a king for a day. But you dont know what you got till its gone ! Saw a lovely 172 Cup on the weekend, polished beyond belief. Looked the absolute Daddy. Should of kept it. Ho hum. Hope the chap who bought...
Cheers me old fruit ! Should be a good challenge and the best thing is no more expensive Renault servicing. Well at least until I have a midlife and Buy a V6.
Hopefully a caterham/Robinhood style chassis with a Hayabusa or an R1 engine. Depends what I can get my hands on. I love the Cup to bits however the time is right and I got a good price.
Just had one today. Bless the salesman I had. Tried his best to sell it. In all fairness its a great car for the Miss' or anyone else who wants a refined drive. Its got some good toys, bit more space in the back. However a bad use of that 2.0 VVT engine.
The so called ''5k kick'' is quite...
Ive got a test drive tommorow in the new 197, not really interested in buying one. Too heavy and slow. Got a special pit pass in the post (im sure you all got one). Just curious to see how it goes. Anyelse had a go yet ?
I own a 52 plate 172 Cup. Its got those horrible orange side repeaters. However every single cup Ive seen has clear side repeaters. Now has every cup owner changed them or did my car miss out at the factory?
Whilst washing my car lastnight I noticed a small blister just under the petrol lid door. It looks like something under the paint has pushed up the top coat. I was just curious if anyone else has experienced any defects in there own paintwork? And if so how they went about fixing eg Renault...
Just dont ruin it mate with tacky mod's fella. You've spent your hard earned cash on it. Do sensible things like top her up with optimax, stick Silkolene in the engine and wash her every god dam day !.....
Its always a bit lumpy on start, but all 172's idle like that first thing. No loss of power at all. Occasionaly I smell an eggy sulfur odour so im guessing something is wrong with my CAT. Cheers for the help
Twice over the past week whilst stationary the an orange engine light on my dash (right hand side next to the speedo) has been flashing on and off. Ive tapped the throttle a few times, let it idle again then turned the engine off. Then let it sit, start the engine up again and the light has...
Ah ha far from the truth ! Ive got the correct tooling eg torque wrench so you would'nt have to worry about your wheels falling off. Unless thats how you drive !
Very good products. That what I use when I clean alloys. I offer a very good service for people who cant find the time to properly details their alloys.
