I read it but my comment was relevant to your post :)
Nothing wrong with having a well presented standard car. Of course it's your car to do as you please with but generally people have been trying to help you.
Then don't post on a public forum.... Shall we all reply how much we love it when that's not actually true?
It's not that it's a bad car per se, just no thought has gone in to it. It has smoked indicators and bright white wheels, it doesn't make any sense.
I wouldn't bother buying a new one right now, the good deals have been and gone. Wait until the next quarter is up (end of march) and hope that Renault reintroduce the offers similar to the ones before Christmas.
This thread is no doubt full of people who list their own 200 specification and relabel it as "must have's".
In my opinion the recaros are a nice to have rather than essential, especially considering the poor durability (see multiple posts on the renaultsport Clio forum).
For me, I'm very...
These Clio 200 deals are dead at the moment, my 200 was at the dealer for some warranty work on Monday and he said all of the deals for the Renaultsports have been pulled this quarter. That seems like an absolutely awful deal, you'd be better off getting a bank loan and buying a 6 month old...
I'm looking for a bodyshop in Essex who can paint and possibly fit a cup spoiler to my Clio 200. It needs to be sprayed Albi Blue (currently in primer) and it's a genuine Renault part.
Does anyone have any personal recommendations or an idea of how much I'd be looking at?
That never crossed my mind. I pay for the car so I have the car how I want it. Infact, she won't even be insured to drive it.
Recaros were a nice to have, not a necessity.
Of course they make the car more special but they come at a significant premium. Some may think it worthwhile, others may not. I thought about it long and hard and simply couldn't justify them. Will I come to regret it? Maybe, but I know in my circumstances they just weren't worth it.
Let's not...
I recently ordered my Clio 200 which is due for collection next week. I umm'ed and arrr'ed for a long time about the recaros and eventually decided not to go for them. Fine, they cost more to buy separately but you are adding the best part of £1k (or 1/15th of the car in my case) as an option...
Shop around, lots of dealers on this forum and the renaultsport forum to compete for your business.
I ended up getting a cracking deal from Lookers for a FF200 in albi blue with black speedlines and the cup pack. Fingers crossed I collect it next Friday. Lovely!
I have ordered my Clio 200 in Albi Blue. It's a safe bet, sure, but I have my doubts as to how fashionable white will be in 2 years time when my deal finishes. I'm pleased with my choice, it looks fantastic :)
Not bad at all, I received a slightly lower quote from Lookers in Chelmsford but there isn't much in it. I went for FF200, Albi Blue, Black Speedlines and the Cup chassis so very similar :)
Enjoy! Mine is due to arrive in week 50.
Ok, my girlfriends Clio (1.2 Extreme) failed it's MOT on the Discs and Pads being excessively worn.
Now, I went for Mintex discs/pads as they seem quite good value. The online Mintex part checker narrows it down to 3 different discs, none of which being correct (to my knowledge).
I have since...
This is still an issue, I have replaced the bulbs and stalk, pushed in the relays and double checked the fuses - still not sorted.
I don't want to get shafted by a garage/auto electrician who are going to charge me a fortune. What more can I do?
Managed to get the middle section for £122 delivered from CESUK who supply Renault. Having it fitted on Wednesday at a local garage.
For comparison, the garage quoted me £280 fitted and could only get the part from Renualt themselves.
The centre section of my exhaust on my Clio 172 is blowing between the back box (practically brand new) and the cat (in good condition).
Where is the best place to get this centre section from and how much am I looking at roughly?
Ok, I searched the forums and the common cause of this seems to be a broken indicator stalk. I have since replaced mine with a new one and this did not solve the problem.
I have checked the fuses before and after doing this and none of the light ones have blown.
What can I try next? I live...
Cheers! Can't believe I overlooked that!
Fitted the new one but still don't have main beam! Now makes the clicking noise but still nothing.... Any ideas what I can try next?
