Well there is now one less with mine now having bitten the dust. For the record, purchased straight out of Lookers Showroom in Chelmsford, October 2005, Clearly one of the last batch's of FF's to come to the UK. Up for 14,600 if I recall correctly. Think I secured it for £13,500.
Hopefully no lasting damage.
Likely to be the end of an unbroken era of fun cars/hot hatches in my family during my lifetime. I remember them all:
998 cooper (the only one I never drove)
Mini 1275gt s
MG Metro turbo
MG Maestro
205 Gti 1.6
205 Gti 1.9
309 Gti
106 Gti
Ending now with the Clio...
It wasn't supposed to end this way! My wife was on the way to work and was punted across the road by a milk tanker. Ended up facing the way she had come from. In hindsight, when I consider the contact point behind the pillar, she us a very lucky lady. some whiplash but hopefully ok. On this...
It's a reward (transaction fee) for solving a cryptographically secure mathematical puzzle using huge amounts of computing power and energy to achieve an outcome that effectively confers the right for you to close and update a digital ledger of transactions (Assets)on a decentralised network...
If I had the money and I could find an example of an absolute favourite from my past and with the right provenance..........
There could just be someone out there.
What price do you attach to regret on having sold something you cherished? Or on nostalgia even?
As a non trophy, but ff, owner from...
Quotes from as far north as pontefract to as far as the south coast, £665-730 seems to be the band including dephaser. Dealers obviously a lot more.
Local specialist, Home Counties, ex Renault approved, wanted £770 without the dephaser! Unnecessary in their view unless it was noisy already...
Well I eventually pushed to get this saved from being a write off. Independent engineer's report said full repair would have been £2,945 inc vat with replacement door skin and rear 3/4 panel. He offered a valuation of £2,250 (and then £120 scrap value) after he had been picky about some other...
I see you are in Hemel? I've never seen you! I have already considered taking mine as far as Rentech. I was always reasonably ok with the technicians at Hardings who looked after mine ok. They recognised it was a good enough example to merit some care and attention but I am not daft enough to be...
Not claiming through my own insurance (see separate thread)but against the third party through the accident handling company included as a small component of my annual premium. Independent engineer report had the damage at £3000 and so they determined the car would likely be a write off and a...
Initial view of the engineer (independent) is it's a w/o! Some creasing at bottom adds to the hassle.
Not best pleased with the view that the car was worth less than price guide at around £2,250 against for £2.5k of repairs. It's a £2.5k car for sure, given the mileage, fsh history and...
Why a custom exhaust.? What does a custom offer above something developed over time from Milltek or Scorpion. Enlighten me.
Anyway I have just had a Milltek resonated catback fitted by R-Tec. Fit seems fine but some further adjustments required to get it hanging right on the standard Renault...
I'll bear it in mind! Not overly keen to get rid of it. I have had too many years of regret for offloading my 106GTI to buy the Clio! I don't want to make a similar mistake even if it isn't currently my favourite piece of kit just at this time. There is something to be said and be proud of to...
......I am not best pleased!
First post in a while and I had been hoping to regail you with tales of my new Milltek resonated cat back exhaust and my pride at getting it half decently lined up but no, this had to happen and just 3 days after it was fitted. Neighbour reversed in to it. I am...
Well from what I have read the heater fans are a common issue and more then likely a reasonably quick fix. I had the issue and trawled the forum for the solution and ultimately saved myself a small fortune by doing it myself!
First post in a long long while! My document wallet fits in there with room to spare. When I got the car new the tyre welds were stuffed in the glove box along with the box for the locking studs. Not much room for anything else!

More importantly he's ok and the car hwell eld up to the impact. It's available in glorious technicolour across on the renaultsport forum for all you rubberneckers!
Haven't gotthe confidence n the fuel guage yet.the light came on with the computer indicating 80 to go then almost imediately "---". how unhelpful is that! I can get 370 out of my 106 no problems which puts the clio to shame!
