Well mine's going up for sale later - unfortunately had a buyer lined up and was let down a week later after I'd put a deposit on my next car.
Have another forum member interested who's going to confirm today - if he doesn't want it, check the for sale section later this evening and someone...
Might be selling mine shortly if I can get the right price for it ... 55 plate BG FF with Recaros, 71k, bought from R-Sport. If you search my posts there's a thread with pics, and the original sale thread.
Forgot to mention its got a small crease where someone decided to open their car into it, and the air con needs re-gassing. They're literally the only bad points on the car.
Had the aux belt done 12 months ago, taxed until July, flew through last MOT in Sept / Oct time.
If someone offered me...
Hi all,
I'm thinking about parting with my Clio :(. I've ended up doing a lot more mileage than I expected, and I don't want to end up running the car into the ground ... plus I'm kind of being forced to get a bigger car in the near future.
Originally I wasn't planning to sell until at least...
Yep, mines got recaros and had the poverty spec rear bench .... So I bought a set of 172 rears off a fellow forum member. Makes the world of difference!
Used the megs 105 with an orange hex pad, and 205 with the white one. Got them all in a pack with the das6 pro from cleanyourcar. Had to do a lot of prep / cleaning / claying beforehand.
I'm in Dosthill BTW - I only ever see a race blue 182!
I bought a Das6 with the Meguiars compounds (and about £100 of other stuff) and its dead easy to get good results. I'm a total amateur but managed to get awesome results on my BG 182 http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?741736-Bank-Holiday-Deep-Clean!
I've just bought a DAS-6 Pro too, took me AGES to get the car polished then buffed with the 105, but it was so worth it :-) 205 was massively easier!
Bet that paintwork looks amazing, always loved RB.
Decided to treat myself / the car to about £250 of cleaning products recently, including a DAS-6 Pro and a snowfoam lance
The car was snowfoamed, cleaned, Iron X'd, cleaned again, clayed, machine polished with Megiuar's 105 and 205, then covered in two coats of Poorboys Natty's blue...
Hoping to post some progress pics on Friday when the car gets the most intense cleaning its ever had ... I've always kept it beautifully clean with an enormous array of autogylm products, but I thought now was the time to take it to the next level :-). Clay, iron x, poorboys wax, snowfoam...
Didn't realise MAD sold them, I'm only down the road ... Just bought my snowfoam lance from shopnshine, as well as about another £200's worth of cleaning stuff (inc a das-6 pro). Is it sad that I can't wait for it all to arrive?
I've been attracted to certifications for a number of years, but never really gone through with any ... I've not needed them to be honest, I've been in a fortunate position to be able to work up quite quickly ; started in the industry after uni at 22-23, and I'm now earning a very good wage as a...
Re: Clio 182 54 Plate I'm considering buying?
Yep - you do get used to the stiff clutch though. Bit of a shock getting back into it after driving anything else :-)
Re: Clio 182 54 Plate I'm considering buying?
Damn right. I bought my 182 from Steve and its fantastic, by far the best 1*2 I've owned (from 3). He's got a BG and LY up for sale at the mo. They're up for more than the car you've mentioned here, but for peace of mind its worth every penny.
Yeah, just the pre cat with the Bosch sensor. After owning a 172s in the past I was expecting a bit better economy... At least mid 30s. I have seen late 30s, so there's a good chance it could be my route to work. Changing jobs in a month which is pretty much 50mph all the way so I'll keep an eye...
